Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions March 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 135 American Flyer prewar wide gauge The Pioneer freight set no. 1490 in individual OBs, except for the 4022 and set box containing; 4694 loco/tender combination consisting of a 4692X black 4-4-2 steam loco and 4693 die cast Vanderbilt tender, 4017 green sand car, 4018 cream boxcar with turquoise roof, 4022 orange machinery car and a 4021 red caboose. The cars have gray flex trucks and brass journals. Some of the loco wheels are deteriorating. The loco and tender are C5-6. The cars are C5. Individual OBs show some wear, but are complete. The set box has some tears and has some staining. Both labels are intact. 136 Lionel prewar standard gauge 408E Mojave 0-4-4-0 dual motor electric loco. The loco has been rewheeled and both headlights have been replaced. The loco frame is C5 and the loco body is C6. 137 Lionel prewar standard gauge 212 maroon gondola with three 205 green freight containers and a 219 crane car with peacock cab, dark green roof and red boom. The gondola and crane are C5-6 138 Lionel prewar standard gauge 215 aluminum Sunoco tank car with brass plates, two with black lettering and two with red lettering. The tank has nickel and brass trim with nickel journals. The car is C6. 139 Lionel prewar standard gauge 214R cream refrigerator car with a peacock roof that is in an OB. The car has brass trim and nickel journals. The car is C6. The box has all flaps attached, has tape residue and is missing half of the label. 140 Lionel prewar standard gauge freight cars including; 211 black flatcar with wood load, 215 pea green tank car and a 217 red caboose with a peacock roof. The flatcar has nickel trim and journals and the 215 and 217 have brass trim and nickel journals. The tank and caboose are C5 and the flatcar is C6-7. 141 Lionel prewar standard gauge 392E gunmetal 4-4-2 steam loco and a 392W gunmetal twelve wheel tender. The loco is C5 -6. The tender has a slight warp and is C5. 142 Lionel prewar standard gauge maroon New York Central Lines passenger set including; 8 electric 0-4-0 loco, 35 Pullman and a 36 observation. The loco wheels have expanded. Loco is missing one headlight and is C5-6. The cars are C5. 143 Lionel prewar standard gauge 384E black 2-4-0 steam loco with green stripe and a 384T tender with green stripes. The loco wheels are deteriorating and the bell is missing. The loco has been restored and the tender is C6. 144 Lionel prewar standard gauge New York Central Lines 309 Pullman and 312 observation. The cars are maroon with terra cotta roofs and cream inserts. The 309 has wood grain doors and nickel journals and the 312 has cream doors and copper journals. The 309 is C6 and the 312 is C5. 145 Lionel prewar standard gauge 500 series freight cars including; 514R cream refrigerator car with light blue roof, 515 aluminum Sunoco tank car, 520 green searchlight car and 517 red caboose. The cars have nickel trim and journals. The cars are C5. 146 Lionel prewar standard gauge 500 series freight cars including; 511 dark green flatcar with wood load, 513 orange cattle car with pea green roof, 515 cream tank car missing one journal and a 520 terra cotta searchlight car. All of the cars have brass trim and copper journals, except for the 511 flatcar which has brass trim and nickel journals. The 520 is C7 and the rest of the cars are C6. 147 Lionel prewar standard gauge 390E black 2-4-2 steam loco and 390T tender both in individual OBs and master carton. The loco and tender have orange stripes. The pony trucks on the loco are disintegrating. The loco is C7 and the tender is C7-8. The interior OBs are sealed on the bottom, have all flaps attached on the other end and the loco OB has an original cardboard insert. The master carton has no split corners and the labels are intact. 148 Lionel prewar standard gauge 436 Power Station with gray base, terra cotta walls, mustard cornice, pea green window inserts and skylight, Mojave chimney base and red chimney. The station is C7. 149 Lionel prewar standard gauge Mojave passenger set no. 409E, circa 1929 containing; 408E electric 0-4-4-0 loco, 419 Pullman/baggage, 418 Pullman, 431 dining car and a 490 observation. The cars have orange trim, nickel journals and wood grain and maroon doors. The 431 has some rust on the coupler and trucks. The set is C6.
Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions March 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 150 Scarce Hafner Railways Overland Flyer prewar O gauge Century of Progress Special lithographed cream and red passenger set in OB with original cardboard inserts including; red 0-4-0 clockwork loco, type 1190 red tender, baggage, coach, observation, six curve track sections, four straight track sections and a crossover. The loco appears to have been repainted to look like new. The set is C7. The set box is worn. 151 Scarce Hafner Overland Flyer prewar O gauge lithographed passenger set including; 112 black 0-4-0 clockwork loco, 1180 tender, yellow Adams Express Company baggage with black roof and frame, green Illinois Central Railroad coach with black roof and frame and a blue Union Pacific observation with a blue roof and black frame. The passenger cars are the version with four wheels. The set is C5. 152 Rare Hafner prewar O gauge yellow/red lithographed coach with CANADIAN FLYER lettering above the windows and Canadian Pacific Railway logos beneath the windows. The car has a black roof and frame. This car was made for the Canadian market. The car is C5. 153 Hafner Overland Flyer prewar O gauge two lithographed red/yellow Erie coaches with black roofs and frames. The roofs are C5 and the bodies are C6. 154 Hafner Overland Flyer prewar O gauge three lithographed yellow/green Chicago North Western Line coaches with black frames and two with black roofs and one with a blue roof. The two coaches with black roofs have roofs that are C5 and the bodies are C6. The coach with the blue roof is C6. 155 Rare Hafner Overland Flyer prewar O gauge two lithographed red/blue Toy Manufacturers American Toys coaches with black roofs and one with a black frame and one with a unusual Mahogany frame. The roofs on the cars are C5 and the car bodies are C6. 156 Hafner New York Flyer prewar O gauge lithographed red/yellow coach with Made in America shield, black roof and frame. The car is C6. 157 Hafner prewar O gauge lithographed Century of Progress transitional set no. 919 including; black 0-4-0 clockwork steam loco with a red boiler front, red tender, baggage, 919 coach and 919 observation with a battery holder. The cars are red with black lettering. The loco is C5 and the rest of the set is C5-6. 158 Hafner prewar O gauge Sunshine Special lithographed off white/green passenger cars including; two coaches and an observation. The cars are C5-6. 159 Hafner prewar O gauge two Sunshine Special lithographed red/green coaches. The coaches are C6. 160 Hafner prewar O gauge Sunshine Special two lithographed yellow/red Rainbow coaches with orange roofs. The cars are C5-6. 161 Hafner Overland Flyer prewar O gauge lithographed Union Pacific passenger set including; hard to find 112 cast aluminum black clockwork steam loco, 1190 red/black/gold Santa Fe tender, peacock blue baggage with orange roof, red coach with red roof and a yellow observation with green roof. The cars have black frames. The set is C5. 162 Hafner prewar O gauge lithographed freight cars including; yellow 31280 Peerless Stock Car, 31320 green Overland Flyer Santa Fe boxcar, 31400 red New York Central Lines sand and gravel car and a red Overland Flyer Chicago North Western Line caboose. The cars have orange roofs and black frames. The gondola is a C7, the stock and boxcar are C6 and the caboose is C5. 163 Hafner prewar O gauge lithographed freight cars including; 31400 light blue New York Central Lines sand and gravel car, 31320 light green Overland Flyer Santa Fe boxcar with an orange roof, 31280 yellow Peerless Stock car and a red Overland Flyer Chicago and North Western Line caboose. The stock car and caboose have light blue roofs and all of the cars have black frames. The 31400 is C6 and the rest of the cars are C5. 164 Hafner prewar O gauge lithographed freight cars including; an all red unnumbered sand and gravel car, two 31280 blue Peerless Stock Cars, one with a blue roof and blue doors and one with a brown roof and an orange door on one side and a red Overland Flyer Chicago and North Western Line caboose with an orange roof. The two stock cars and the caboose have black frames. The stock cars are C6 and the sand car and caboose are C5.
