The books are in like new condition. 511 A large selection of train books including; “Luxury Trains of the World” by Geoffrey Freeman Allen, “A Century of Trains” by Basil Cooper, “The Illustrated Encyclopedia of the World’s Modern Locomotives: A technical directory of major international diesel, electric and gas-turbine locomotives from 1879 to present day” by Brian Hollingsworth & Arthur Cook, “The Great Book of Trains” Featuring 300 locomotives shown in over 160 full-color illustrations and more than 500 photographs” by Brian Hollingsworth & Arthur Cook and “The All Color World of Trains” by John Westwood, 512 Ives prewar O gauge passenger set including; 257 black 2-4-0 steam loco, 257T four wheel tender, two 1690 Pullmans and 1691 observation. Loco and tender have brass trim and are orange stripped. Tender has nickel journals. The loco has a broken frame near the steam chest and the cowcatcher is broken off. The cars are red with brown roofs, yellow trim and copper journals. The cars are lettered IVES R.R. LINES. One of the 1690 Pullmans is missing both couplers. The tender is C6 and the cars are C5. 513 Ives prewar O gauge three lithographed freight cars with eight wheels and brass journals including; no. 63 gray N.Y.C. & H. R. gravel car with red lettering, no. 68 white Merchants Despatch refrigerator car with a red roof and a no. 69 green lumber car. The no. 69 is missing both couplers. The cars are C5. 514 Ives prewar O gauge eight wheel lithographed blue no. 61 Yale coach with gray and cream roof. The car is lettered LIMITED VESTIBULE EXPRESS above the windows. Car is C5. 515 Ives prewar O gauge 3261 black 0-4-0 electric loco with an orange frame and brass trim, circa 1929. One of the cowcatchers is broken off of the frame. The black cab has some paint touch up. Loco is C5. 516 Ives prewar O gauge eight wheel lithographed green no. 130 Buffet car with gray and light green roof and lettered LIMITED VESTIBULE EXPRESS above the windows. The car is C5. 517 Bing prewar O gauge black clockwork steam loco and a 1012 tender. The locomotive has been restored to look like new. The loco is missing the pilot truck. The tender is C6 and the wheels are reproduction. 518 Bing prewar O gauge four wheel brown lithographed 516 Pennsylvania Lines coach with olive green roof and black frame, C5. 519 Bing prewar O gauge 523/540 small cast iron electric loco cab and frame only lettered New York Central Lines and 3238 N.Y.C. & H.R. One cowcatcher is broken, C5. 520 Bing prewar O gauge four wheel brown/orange lithographed Canadian Pacific Rochelle coach with a green roof and black frame. The car roof has paint flaking, C5. 521 Bing prewar O gauge black 4-4-0 clockwork steam loco and an eight wheel tender. The loco is C6. The tender has paint touch ups and is C4
Toy Train Auction Lot Descriptions March 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 522 Bing prewar O gauge black four wheel tender with red trim and an eight wheel brown lithographed no. 41 Pennsylvania Lines caboose with black frame. The caboose is missing the cupola roof. The tender and caboose are C5. 523 Dorfan prewar narrow gauge two-tone green 610 derrick car with red boom and brass journals. The hook is detached but included, C5. 524 Dorfan prewar wide gauge two orange Chicago Pullmans with brass window frames, hand rails and steps. Both Pullmans have flat lithographed passengers in the windows. One Pullman is missing both roof knobs. The sides and ends of the cars have heavy paint flaking, C4. The roofs are C6. 525 Elektoy prewar 1 gauge 903 electric 0-4-0 steam freight locomotive with brass eight wheel tender. Loco has black cab and boiler with nickel trim. Tender is lettered PENN.R.R. on one side. The loco has been repainted. Both loco and tender are C4. 526 Lionel postwar freight cars including; 6511 red pipe car with four silver plastic pipes, 6356 yellow New York Central stock car, 6436-25 maroon Lehigh Valley hopper, 6446 gray Norfolk & Western cement car and a 6417-25 Lionel Lines porthole caboose all in OBs. The cars are C7. The OBs have all flaps attached, except the caboose box is missing a coupler flap and the stock car OB is missing an end and interior flaps. 527 Lionel postwar 2329 Virginian GE Rectifier. The yellow frame has been restored to look like new. The Rectifier is C5. 528 Lionel postwar freight cars including; 6430 trailer flatcar with two green Lionel Lines trailers, two 6462 NYC gondolas with wooden barrels, one red with an inspection tag and one black, 6456 red Lehigh Valley hopper and 6457 brown caboose all in OBs. The cars are C7-8. The boxes have most flaps attached. 529 Lionel postwar 6464-25 Great Northern type I boxcar in OB. The car is C8. The OB has all flaps attached. 530 Lionel postwar 60 Lionelville Rapid Transit with a two part bumper and 41 U.S. Army switcher both in OBs with original cardboard inserts. The trolley pole is detached from the trolley but is included. The trolley and switcher are C6-7. The trolley OB has all flaps attached and the 41 OB is missing flaps and is worn. 531 Lionel postwar freight cars including; 6462-25 green New York Central gondola, 6520 searchlight car, 6561 cable car 3562 -25 gray A.T.& S.F. gray operating barrel car with two wooden barrels, 6460-25 Bucyrus Erie crane car with red cab and 6517 red bay window caboose all in OBs. The 6460-25 OB has an original cardboard insert. The cars are C6-7. The OBs are missing some flaps, have tape repair and show some wear. 532 Lionel postwar cabooses; 2257 red, 6357 red, 6420 dark gray D.L. & W. searchlight wrecking car and 6457 brown all in OBs. The cabooses are C6-7. The 6420 OB has an original cardboard insert The 2257 is missing some flaps and has tape repair. The 6357 OB has some tape and the rest of the boxes have all flaps attached. 533 Lionel postwar freight cars; 2461 transformer car with a black generator, 2465 silver two dome Sunoco tank, 3454 PRR operating merchandise car with three Baby Ruth cubes and a 2457 red caboose all in OBs. Two of the insulators are broken off of the 2461 car. The 3454 is C6 and the rest of the cars are C5. The OBs are worn. 534 Lionel postwar freight cars including; 3464 A.T. & S. F. operating boxcar with instruction sheet and inspection tag, 6462 black New York Central gondola, 6465 silver two dome Sunoco tank and a 6357 red caboose all in OBs. The cars are C8. The OBs have all flaps attached. 535 Lionel postwar silver passenger set no. 1464W, circa 1952-1953 containing; 2033 Union Pacific Alco AA diesel units in master carton, 2421 Maplewood Pullman, 2422 Chatham Pullman and a 2423 Hillside observation all in OBs. The set is C5. The boxes show wear. 536 Lionel postwar freight cars; 6472 refrigerator, 6511 pipe car with three silver plastic pipes, 6656 stock car, two 6357 cabooses and a 6417 Pennsylvania caboose all in OBs. The cars are in the C7 range. The OBs have most flaps attached. 537 Lionel postwar 456 coal ramp set with 3456 operating Norfolk & Western hopper car in individual OBs and set box. Both wire strings on the ramp are broken. The ramp is C6 and the car is C7. The individual OB is missing some flaps. The set box is complete and shows some wear.
