If the deposit is made after Cut-Off Time, the<br />

available balance on the (<strong>Card</strong>) Account will be<br />

immediately updated with the amount deposited.<br />

The funds will reach your (<strong>Card</strong>) account within a<br />

maximum <strong>of</strong> two Business Days. Interest at the rate<br />

set out in clause 8 will be calculated as from the day<br />

that the funds reach the (<strong>Card</strong>) Account. For the<br />

purposes <strong>of</strong> this clause, Cut-Off Time is 1900 hours<br />

from Monday to Friday and 1700 hours on Saturday,<br />

Sundays and Public holidays and <strong>Bank</strong> holidays.<br />

Cash paid in at other ATMs for deposit in your<br />

(<strong>Card</strong>) Account:<br />

The (<strong>Card</strong>) Account will be updated with the amount<br />

deposited as soon as the cash is received and<br />

counted by us which will be by not later than the<br />

next Business Day. Interest at the rate set out in<br />

clause 8 will be calculated as from the day that the<br />

funds reach the (<strong>Card</strong>) Account. For the purposes<br />

<strong>of</strong> this clause, Business Day shall mean Monday to<br />

Friday.<br />

c) By Cheque<br />

(i) When a deposit <strong>of</strong> a <strong>Bank</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Valletta</strong> p.l.c. cheque<br />

is made, the amount will be credited to the account<br />

indicated by you when the said cheque has been<br />

cleared by the <strong>Bank</strong>.<br />

(ii) When a deposit <strong>of</strong> a non-<strong>Bank</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Valletta</strong> p.l.c.<br />

cheque is made, the amount will be credited to the<br />

account indicated by you when the said cheque<br />

has been paid by the relative bank.<br />

7. ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE OF CHARGE (APR)<br />

[Applicable only to agreements entered into after the coming <strong>of</strong> the<br />

force <strong>of</strong> the Consumer Credit Regulations in terms <strong>of</strong> Legal Notice<br />

84 <strong>of</strong> 2005 for the <strong>Visa</strong> Platinum <strong>Card</strong> (Personal), the <strong>Visa</strong> <strong>Gold</strong><br />

<strong>Card</strong> (Personal), the <strong>Visa</strong> Classic <strong>Card</strong> (Personal) and the<br />

Master<strong>Card</strong> Classic <strong>Card</strong> (Personal) whose credit limit does not<br />

exceed Euro 20,300 or its equivalent in the Currency].<br />

a) The APR is the total cost <strong>of</strong> the credit based on the<br />

interest rate and the annual <strong>Card</strong> fee on the<br />

assumption that you spend your credit limit in full on<br />

local purchases at the start <strong>of</strong> the agreement and that<br />

you then repay it by 12 equal instalments inclusive <strong>of</strong><br />

interest.<br />

b) Any change in the interest rate, in the credit limit, in the<br />

annual <strong>Card</strong> fee and the introduction and revision <strong>of</strong><br />

any other charges may affect the APR.<br />

c) Usage <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Card</strong> in a different manner will affect the<br />

APR due to other charges stipulated in clauses 4(c),<br />

5(b), 5(c) 15(a) and 15(b).<br />
