“A Capital Idea”
OBeyond the congratulations due to our donors for
their generosity and the work of our staff during
yet another record-setting year, I find the most
satisfaction in our Foundation Board’s efforts to
maintain project velocity on the larger goals at
hand for our brotherhood.
With the challenges we’ve all faced over the past
two years, it would be extremely easy and understandable
to retract in philosophy, strategy, and
action plan. Many of us have done so, on levels
both personal and professional. And yet, others
have seen opportunity in the calamity. I recently
read an article focused on a particular business
leader’s philosophy going into 2022; his mantra
could be best summed up by the phrase, “Stay
focused on the ‘solves.” While it has become
extremely easy for our days to all blend together
(also known as getting lost in the weeds), the
benefit of a longer-term vision always serves as
a reminder of the greater goals at hand. What
challenges ahead of us will we solve?
The Foundation’s focus on permanently solving
long-term needs within our brotherhood has
remained steadfast. This focus has not involved
exploring uncharted territory, but merely having
the courage and determination to follow the
winning formula employed by so many other
organizations similar to our own; to raise and
increase principal savings to build a future, to
encourage immediate gifts for the needs at hand,
and to serve as a tax-advantaged mechanism
for our donors’ desires to give.
This leads me to share with our alumni at large
that we have conducted and completed a Feasibility
Study, led by Pennington & Company, to serve
as the planning stage for what will become our
brotherhood’s first-ever capital campaign. While
this is exciting news, to be sure, you can be
confident that we are taking the entire process
very seriously and carefully. We will keep you
informed as this project develops.
I also want to remind and invite our alumni to join
us in St. Louis this July for Delta Chi’s biennial
Convention. There is absolutely no prerequisite for
attending a Delta Chi Convention, even if it’s your
first. All you have to do to register is follow the
prompts at www.deltachiconvention.com. Plenty
of fun alumni-related activities planned by the
Foundation for you to enjoy, even if you can only
join for a couple of days. Please reach out to our
staff with any questions you may have. We look
forward to welcoming you into our greater fold
and thank you for your continued support of

Executive Director’s Message
Delta Chi is more than an organization; it’s an experience that never stops providing. Much of a
member’s time in Delta Chi is spent as an alumnus, and what a rewarding experience this can be!
As alumni, we can advance Delta Chi through our leadership, involvement, and support. Your
actions help provide our undergraduate brothers with a meaningful Delta Chi experience, laying
the foundation for their future years as alumni. We are grateful for all that you do for the
Fraternity, and we hope you will join us this summer for what will be a memorable experience
in St. Louis!
