Can an existing bathroom and/or en suite be modernised
without costing too much, and if so how can that be done?
Bathrooms are tricky. All fixtures are relatively permanent,
so it's not like replacing a few cushions or pieces of furniture,
as trades are involved. If the layout is good, you could update
the vanity/ basin and mirror. If you are replacing tiles, you
are looking at a full bathroom renovation.
Apart from the obvious, is there one thing that every
bathroom should have?
A well-considered shower niche within easy reach. If it is a
shelf that protrudes, ensure it can’t injure the shower user.
Have a good focal point – typically the vanity, and place
the toilet out of view.
