getting to know Door County's very own Clean eating pop-up shop, Golden H What is the Golden Hour? So, I think we all know how beautiful golden hour actually is, right? It’s that first hour before sunrise or that last hour before sunset, where the air is filled with a flattering golden hue. 60 minutes twice a day, this happens. For me, golden hour is a sense of calm and this moment that makes you just stop to take it all in and enjoy it for yourself. Golden Hour is a feel-good smoothie pop up shop serving all things clean and organic. The kind of ingredients you can feel good about. Golden Hour was created for guests to just stop, whether it be for a minute or two or even an hour. To remember to take time for yourself, to feel good, and to care for your body. Who are the individuals behind Golden Hour? Just me, Miranda! I’m a one-woman show over here with a wonderful group of supporters who continue to encourage me along the way! Share a little insight into the nutritional value of your clean ingredients and menu choices... I strive to use only organic fruits and vegetables because of their lower pesticide residues. I also strive to find the best organic clean products, and when I say clean, I mean the fewer the ingredients the better. Just because something is organic doesn’t always mean it's healthy, so I’m always scouring the ingredient lists to be sure everything is as clean as possible. As far as the nutritional value to my menu choices, there are countless health benefits, so if I had to choose one to highlight it would be bananas! Bananas are the key ingredient in my smoothies and I also feel like they sometimes have a bad reputation for being too high in sugar, so this is a good one to talk about. I’ve been following Dr. Anthony Williams aka The Medical Medium for some time now and have read his countless books. He reminds us that bananas are made up of fiber, pulp, and even water too. Their fruit sugar content is the reason bananas have rich supplies of antioxidants, vitamins, and other phytonutrients to help us fight disease. Bananas can help reduce anxiety and depression; they improve the liver's ability to absorb nutrients, and my personal favorite, they are an important brain food!

I will be at Heirloom Cafe and Provisions in Baileys Harbor and also Backbone Food Truck in Fish Creek at Peninsula State Park. Guests can find me on social media (Facebook or Instagram) (goldenhourdoorcounty) to access my schedule, menu, and other future pop-up locations! Everything can also be found on my website. (www.goldenhourdoorcounty.com) Do you have any plans of getting a more exclusive space? f t I don’t have any set plans as of right now. I’m really enjoying operating as a pop-up shop, but never say never! I’m fairly certain that one day I’ll have a brick and mortar shop. The menu at Golden Hour is housemade, organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan-friendly. Menu options l include: Smoothies, juice, coffee, waffles, energy bites, lemonades, and more!
