Ox-eye Daisy

Leucanthemum vulgare

Ox-eye Daisies are widespread flowering plants of

the Daisy family, the Asteraceae. The dark-green,

spoon-shaped leaves are deeply-toothed. The longstalked

inflorescence is often found in 3s and

resembles a large daisy. Each flower head has

between 5 and 40 white ‘ray’ florets and brightyellow

central disc florets.

A common indicator of neutral meadows.
