SWIM DEFINITIONS
ADULT SUPERVISION
Please note when bringing children to an
open or family swim we require the
following in water supervision ratios: 5 yrs
& under (1 Adult: 2 children); 6-9 yrs (1
Adult: 4 children); 10 + (1 Adult: 8 children).
OPEN
Open to all age groups. Children (under 10
yrs) must be accompanied by a person 16
yrs or older who actively supervises the
children in the water. The adult MUST be in
the water. Children must be 10 yrs or older
to enter alone.
LAP SWIM
Adult “length” swim in one lane
only. Not for those who like to ‘bob
& float’.
Adult
For patrons 18 + years. This is not
a lap swim.
Adult 50 +
For Patrons 50 + . This is not a
lap swim.
ACcESsIBLE:
For patrons with long-term
disabilities/ handicaps. Volunteers
are encouraged to assist. “Annie’s
Swim” (in memory of Anne
Vivian), Thursdays 2:15pm, is free
of charge while regular fees apply
to the other accessible swims
(with the exception of volunteer
assistants).
