Space Coast State Fair Presents<br />
MOLLY HATCHET & FRAN COSMO<br />
As the weather gets “cold” and winter arrives, it’s<br />
time to head to the fair. The 36th Annual Space<br />
Coast State Fair comes to Space Coast Daily Park in<br />
Viera November 4th-20th. You can get your corn dog<br />
fix, ride the Tilt A Wheel and jam out to some good old<br />
Classic Rock. The Southern Rockers Molly Hatchet<br />
comes to town on November 18th and Fran Cosmo,<br />
formally of Boston on November 19th. Both shows<br />
along with ‘Wee Wee Wee Pig Races’ and ‘Queen B<br />
Spooky Circus Sideshow’ are included in the fair admission.<br />
Despite there being no original members left, Molly Hatchet<br />
continues to perform live as of 2022, and their current<br />
lineup features half of the Lighting Strikes Twice–era album<br />
lineup (keyboardist John Galvin and guitarist Bobby<br />
Ingram) as well as drummer Shawn Beamer, bassist Tim<br />
Lindsey and vocalist Jimmy Elkins, who replaced McCormack<br />
in 2019. In June 2022,The band has announced that a<br />
new Molly Hatchet album is in the works and intended for<br />
a late 2023 release.<br />
The band released its biggest hit ‘Flirting with Disaster’<br />
in 1980. The band formed in 1978 in Jacksonville and was<br />
contemporaries with another iconic band Lynyrd Skynyrd.<br />
Various albums both studio and live releases followed over<br />
the years. Most recently, guitarist Steve Holland died from<br />
Covid complications in 2020 at the age of 66.<br />
Fran Cosmo has been a featured vocalist for the band Boston.<br />
In 1994, Cosmo was featured as the sole lead vocalist<br />
on the platinum Boston album Walk On which reached<br />

ARTWORKS OF EAU GALLIE<br />
Have you ever seen a piece of art and wondered how it<br />
was made? Well, come see for yourself at the 26th Annual<br />
ArtWorks of Eau Gallie Fine Arts Festival. ArtWorks<br />
is the only art show of its kind in Brevard County. Artists<br />
display their art for sale and also create new artworks in<br />
their booths.<br />
This Art Festival takes place along Highland Avenue in<br />
Melbourne’s Eau Gallie Arts District. Hours will be 10 am<br />
to 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Along<br />
with booths for the established artists, ArtWorks encourages<br />
Brevard high school students to get involved. These high<br />
school artists will have a booth on St. Clair Street where<br />
they will be creating and displaying their art. ArtWorks<br />
makes a donation to the art departments of the high schools<br />
that participate.<br />
Mike Della Cioppa, Apocalypse Coffee Roasters, is the<br />
music coordinator for ArtWorks. Live music is scheduled in<br />
Eau Gallie Square on both days. The Saturday lineup is: 10<br />
am Jacie Craft; 12 noon Nila Hant; 2pm Tricky McSmadigan.<br />
Sunday features performances by: 10 am Brad Burton;<br />
12 noon Paul Roub; 2 pm William Tracy.<br />
The food court in Eau Gallie Square includes Bottom’s<br />
Up Beverage, Cool Yeti, Country Kettler’s Korn, The Hangry<br />
Spartan, and Space Coast Hot Dogs. Authors for Authors<br />
will have its annual “Meet the Authors Book Fair” in<br />
the Eau Gallie Civic Center. Also in the Civic Center will be<br />
the Brevard Porcelain Artists annual “Touch of Elegance”<br />
show and sale. - No pets please at ArtWorks.<br />
