HRH The Queen<br />

<strong>Beaconsfield</strong> Town was lucky to have HRH<br />

The Queen visit a few times in this century.<br />

Bekonscot Model Village remembers...<br />

Brian Newman-Smith, MD said, “We feel privileged<br />

and honoured that Her Majesty had visited Bekonscot<br />

with her sister in the early thirties”.<br />

1934/42: Several visits by Queen Mary, with one or<br />

both of the young Princesses, Princess Elizabeth and<br />

Princess Margaret Rose took place.<br />

The first recorded visit was on Friday, 20 April l934,<br />

the eve of Princess Elizabeth’s 8th birthday.<br />

1936: Her Royal Highness Queen Mary, HRH Duke<br />

& Duchess of York with Princesses Elizabeth and<br />

1939: Her Royal Highness Queen Mary, Princesses<br />

We had harboured hopes that Her Majesty might visit<br />

again but alas it was not to be.<br />
