after my name, and I honestly
can’t thank them enough for the
continued backing. I love getting
the supporters out of their seats
and they give me so much belief
and confidence when I’m on the
pitch. I want to be successful
here, not just for myself, the
manager, staff and lads, but also
for these terrific supporters who
are such a big part of the club. I’ll
always give them everything I’ve
got, and they certainly helped me
through the Huddersfield game
when it was getting tough.”

UTB: How important was
it for you personally to get
straight back into Championship
action with an assist, despite
being in Qatar at the beginning
of the week prior to the
Huddersfield game?
IN: “I’ve never been a player
who likes to waste time, it just
isn’t me and I want to enjoy every
moment of my career. As soon
as the full-time whistle went
against England my only focus
was on getting back to Sheffield
and playing in that game. I knew
I would only be back for a day or
two of training at the most, but
I spoke to Hecky and told him
I’d be ready to go. The assist
really pleased me, and Billy has
scored so many goals like that in
his wonderful career, it is what
he does best, and I had no doubt
he’d finish the chance off once
I rode the two challenges, got
the ball out of my feet and forced
it into his path.”
UTB: Let’s rewind a month or
so and reflect on your call-up
and subsequent involvement
with Senegal in the 2022
FIFA World Cup. If you had to
describe it in your own words,
what would you say?
IN: “It was one of the biggest
dreams of my life come true,
it really was. It is something
that can never be taken away
from me and that is something
special that obviously I’ll always
remember. To get called up to a
World Cup and represent
Senegal was huge, but
to actually contribute
to the team makes
me so thankful for
the opportunity.
It was
amazing,
from
receiving
the call
up at the
training ground
to playing against
England in the last 16 tie.
My dad came to Qatar, my
missus and daughter were
there with me too, and my
