Gyllyngvase is Falmouth’s main award-winning
beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk from
town or about 1hr if you take the leisurely stroll
around Pendennis Headland. See p61.
The soft white sand, the rolling waves and the
variety of activities on offer make Gyllyngvase
perfect for families. With its breath-taking views
out into Falmouth Bay where you might see
ships at anchor. The outward stretching Lizard
peninsula which is the UK’s most southerly point
and the historic Pendennis Castle that guards
making it a safe spot for children.
Activities on offer at the beach include kayaking,
Gyllyngvase also has a beachside café/bar
produce as well as delicious cakes.
