SANTO WINERY
We highly recommend you visit Santo Winery for lunch, where you can have a meal paired
with wine, or in the afternoon, where you can sip on your wine flight before watching the
magical sunset over the caldera. Alongside other local wineries, Santos Wines invests a lot in
developing cultivation and vinification techniques and preserving the local biodiversity, and it
also has an organic vineyard.
VENETSANOS WINERY
Given that Santo Winery is the more popular choice, Venetsanos Winery is usually not as busy,
yet it still boasts a beautiful rocky terrace overlooking the caldera for those heavenly sunset
views at sunset.
Santo Winery
There are a few other notable wineries we recommend you visit. While they may not have the
caldera views, they sure do have brilliant wines.
• Estate Argyros, a fourth generation winery where some of the island’s oldest vines are
produced.
• Gaia, located on a black sand beach right by the sea.
• Vassaltis Vineyards, where the vines are old but Santorini’s newest and sleek winery
with quality wine.
• Hatzidakis Winery, an organic vineyard that stays true to traditional roots.
• Gavalas Winery, a family-owned vineyard that offers rustic hospitality.
• Domaine Sigalas, a third-generation winery and the best if you want a six course
tasting menu to accompany your wine tasting.
• Koutsoyannopoulos Winery, boasting a long, underground wine museum.
• Art Space, where an old wine cave offers up wine tasting and art experiences all-in-one.
A 7 night holiday in Santorini, staying at San Antonio, starts from £1,185 per person.
