event for adults and seniors held on
the first Monday of the month (in Feb,
that’s the 6th!) at Mona Vale Library

Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy
Othello in Catherine Park on
Scotland Island on Saturday 11 from
7.30pm-10.30pm (a chartered ferry
will be leaving Scotland Island from
Tennis Wharf at 11pm after the show).

Author talk. Avalon Community
Library presents its first author
talk for 2023 in conversation with
local author Jo Riccioni about her
speculative fiction book The Branded,
on Wed 22 at 6pm. Also celebrate
Seniors Week at a free ‘Conversation
on Aging’ event on Tues 7. Book at the

Pink Floyd show. Hard to believe it’s
been 50 years since The Dark Side
of the Moon was released, becoming
one of the greatest albums of all time,
spending more than 18 years on
the charts. The Pittwater Offshore
Community’s Flaming Doghouse
Showband will perform the full album
plus plenty of Floyd favourites at The
Ted Blackwood Community Hall,
Warriewood from 7.30pm on Friday
24 and Saturday 25. Tickets $48;

Sew, knit, crochet. Manly Branch
of the Country Women’s Association
(CWA) of NSW is 100 years strong
this year and hosting numerous
events to educate the Northern
Beaches community about what
they do and to share some skills.
On Saturday 25 (then 22nd April
and 24th June) they are holding a
craft day where anyone can learn
to sew, knit or crochet a bag, a face
washer or a toy, all materials supplied.
Sessions will start at 10am, 11am,
midday and 1pm, at St Matthew’s
Church, The Corso, Manly;
