Wed 19th Sidmouth & The Donkey Sanctuary Situated on the Jurassic Coast of Devon, Sidmouth has a unique charm and an atmosphere of years gone by. Only £23.00 Thu 20th Basildon Park - National Trust Basildon Park is an impressive Georgian mansion located near to Pangbourne in Berkshire. This impressive Georgian mansion surrounded by glorious parkland was rescued from ruin by Lord and Lady Iliffe in the mid-1950s. They filled their comfortable new home with fine paintings, fabrics and furniture - Basildon Park now holds a collection of 17th-20th century English and European paintings, including Batoni and Anne Vallayer-Coster. Wonderful long seafront leading to the 13th-century Cobb harbour famously featured in the film 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' or take the zig zag path through the cliffside gardens. Collected from your convenient local pick point, we head for the centre of Winchester. Once the Capital of England, the city is packed with historic buildings including the impressive 11th Century Cathedral combined with green spaces and an array of independent shops. Stopping here for a couple of hours, so plenty of time to enjoy a 'brunch' before re-boarding the coach. We head on to near Odiham where we board our boat for a trip along the Basingstoke Canal. In the afternoon we head to nearby Kintbury and board the 'Kennet Valley' horse drawn barge for a 2 ½ hour cruise along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal.
