Set in a historic, Habsburg-era villa
and framed by landscaped gardens,
the Hotel Milenij offers five-star
luxury paired with Opatija’s most
popular terrace on Lungo Mare promenade
with stunning views of Kvarner Bay.
The Amadria Park Group has a long history
of providing Croatian hospitality, blending
tradition and heritage with contemporary

Opatija alone.
Hotel Milenij blends the spirit of the historic
tradition of the Kvarner Riviera with contemporary
design and decorations.
The southern part of the hotel, built as a
luxurious villa in 1836, became Caffé Principe
Umberto in 1898 in honor of a visit from the
Kingdom of Italy’s Prince Umberto. In 1908,
the famous Viennese architect Carl Seidl
designed the old part of today’s Hotel Milenij
as an upgrade of the existing villa.
A dance hall was added in 1924, with frescoes
painted by Viennese painter Karl Ludwig
Hassman. This hall is now home to the hotel’s
fine dining spot, Restaurant Argonauti, where
the Greek mythology-themed artwork can still
be seen.
The hotel’s own Wagner Caffé terrace and bar
serves aperitifs, desserts, artisan ice cream in
exotic flavours or their own hand-crafted Choco-branded
pralines.
Drawing on the wellness tradition of the
late-1900s Austro-Hungarian royalty, the firstclass
Milenij Spa offers several treatments and
high-quality cosmetics.
Hotel Milenij has 96 luxurious rooms and
spacious suites up to 60m², providing a sense
of royal influence, tranquility and grandeur.
