TRACTION CONFERENCE

Technology leaders, top-tier VCs, and speakers from some of the fastest-growing
companies from around the globe came together for the Traction Conference on
August 10 & 11 at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver.
From what started in 2015 as a small tech conference held in a nightclub in Vancouver,
Canada, Traction has emerged as one of the top 10 tech marketing conferences in North
America, with a growing community of over 100,000 entrepreneurs and innovators. The
in-person conference made a come-back after a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic
and proved to be a massive success with over 1,000 attendees from 60+ different
international cities and 45 speakers taking the stage with fireside chats, panel discussions,
and keynote sessions covering various topics ranging from fundraising, scaling, product
strategy, customer success, fundraising, developer relations and much more.
In addition to top-notch content, networking sessions and delicious food, start-up
founders also got a chance to meet investors with exclusive ‘founder-funder matchmaking’
sessions.
Thanks to Traction, downtown Vancouver got a $3-million economic bump, including
direct spending by organizers, sponsors, and delegates during the event. This figure
will continue to grow into 2023 as deals and partnerships signed at the conference are
finalized.
