Megha Roy
I am Megha Roy your International student officer from 2020 and a current Masters's
student pursuing International Journalism.
My manifesto focuses on seven key areas:
First, I will work to improve the Extenuating Circumstances policy to ensure that
postgraduate students have the support they need during difficult times.
Second, I will strive to improve the living conditions in student housing in Cardiff. I will
work to ensure that accommodation is available and accessible for all postgraduate
students and that the living conditions are up to standard.
Third, I will work to improve the Postgraduate Research (PGR) students' expenses claim
system to make it more efficient and user-friendly.
Fourth, I will work to get PhD engraved plaques in Love Cardiff to recognize the hard
work and achievements of our postgraduates.
Fifth, I will work to strengthen the engagement with Student Reps and College Forums
to ensure that postgraduates' voices are represented.
Sixth, I will strive to strengthen the postgraduate community by creating opportunities
for postgraduates to get involved in university life, such as extracurricular activities,
societies, and volunteer work.
Seventh, I will review and enhance the Cardiff University Postgraduate Survey (CUPTS)
to ensure that the university is effectively addressing the needs and concerns of
postgraduate students.
I am determined to work for the betterment of postgraduate students and will put in
all my efforts to make sure that their voices s are heard and acted upon. Together, we
can create a stronger, more inclusive, and more equitable university community for
postgraduates.
