Les Mills City2Surf
back to the future
Thousands of runners and walkers flooded the streets for the city’s most iconic fun run
– the Les Mills City2Surf. The event went back to the future on Sunday, returning to its
original pre-quake course. The 12km run started in the central city and the 6km at Avon
Park. The course winded through the east to Rawhiti Domain where prizes and certificates
were presented. Star Media regional manager Steve McCaughan congratulated everyone
who took part in the fun runs. “The 2023 Les Mills City2Surf was a resounding success
and the weather was fantastic.” McCaughan also thanked the sponsors – Les Mills, Sport
Canterbury, FRONTRUNNER Colombo, Christchurch Casino, Sports Clinic, Party Warehouse,
ThermaTech, Brooks, Bentley Transport, Pegasus, Fitness New Zealand, FreshChoice, Smiths
City, Angel Bay, Canterbury University, supporting charity the NZ Flying Doctor Service, and
service sponsors Fahey Fence Hire, Living Safely, Crystal Clear, NZ Post, and Herba Gourmet.
