Thursday April 20 2023 3 Discover your military ancestors LIBRARIES ACROSS the city will have a range of events to mark Anzac Day next week including a way to help people connect with their military ancestors. Visitors will be able use digital and physical resources to find service records and information for soldiers, nurses and other military roles. City council head of libraries and information Carolyn Robertson said the sessions offer a chance to find out more about your New Zealand ancestor’s military records. “The 60-minute session will Carolyn Robertson be a mix of demonstrating the digital and physical resources we have available to use and help attendees with their research into their own ancestors,” she said. Family history librarians will be showing resources only available within Christchurch City Libraries.
