FIT Show Preview
A FITTING CELEBRATION
We caught up with FIT Show Event Director Nickie West to discuss FIT’s 10th anniversary, hear
why this year’s show is not to be missed and find out what’s planned for future events...
Total Fabricator (TF): It’s not long until FIT
Show 2023 now! Can you tell us about some of
the key new attractions at this year’s event?
Nickie West (NW): FIT Show 2023 is so close,
it’s palpable! There are so many new things for
people to see and do at the show this year. We’ve
worked really hard to bring new brands, products
and features to the show as we know how
challenging it is for installers to take time off the
tools and away from the day job to visit FIT Show.
This year’s line-up is not to be missed!
Just some of the highlights will include:
• Almost 40% of the exhibitors at FIT Show
2023 have come from overseas which
means visitors will be able to see the latest
products and innovations literally from
across the world
• We’ve launched the new Installer Hub with
live installation and product demos from
the likes of Whitesales, Strongdor, GGF and
Made for Trade
• 25% of the exhibitors have never exhibited
at FIT Show before so these will be new and
exciting for our visitors
• We’ve got a long list of exclusive show offers
and discounts that visitors will only be able
to access if they attend FIT Show
• And visitors can access 30+ hours of CPD
certified learning content in the seminar
theatre
TF: What are your thoughts on the show
reaching its 10th edition? How do you feel the
show has evolved over the years?
NW: Ten years really is a big milestone for FIT
Show and the industry we serve. We launched
FIT Show back in 2013 based on a genuine need
for a trade show platform to connect people and
products on a large scale.
FIT Show is still the primary place for brands to
showcase the latest products and innovations and
connect with clients and customers. And it’s still
the only place for UK visitors to compare the latest
products side-by-side, network, do business and
speak directly to manufacturers and suppliers all
under one roof across three days.
In terms of evolution, what started out as a
predominantly PVC-U windows and doors event
has grown significantly to reflect the changing
needs of the market and innovation driven by the
“There will be tonnes
of exclusive offers and
discounts that only
show visitors will be
able to access”
market’s leading brands.
Visitors can now see the full range of products,
materials and services used for commercial or
residential construction and interior work at FIT
Show. From aluminium and timber windows and
doors through to lantern roofs and lifting equipment.
It’s for these reasons, and thanks to the support
of the industry, that FIT Show continues to go
from strength to strength.
TF: You cover so many disciplines in terms of
product offering for visitors from across the
supply chain, are there any new areas you’re
expanding into for FIT Show 2023?
NW: FIT Show 2022 saw the introduction of the
new outdoor living feature with products such
as decking, fencing, awnings and garden rooms.
We’re looking to build on this at FIT Show 2023
coupled with an increased focus on roofing
solutions. Visitors can see the latest tiled roofing
systems, lanterns and rooflights from brands
including Supalite, Brett Martin and FIT Show first
timers, Whitesales.
TF: After this year, the show reverts back
to every two years following the disruption
caused by the pandemic. Why do you feel the
show works better for all involved having it
every two years?
NW: That’s right, after FIT Show 2023 there will
be no show until 29th April – 1st May 2025. That
means anyone who misses FIT Show this May will
miss three years’ worth of shows with a two-year
gap until the next instalment.
Two years is definitely the sweet spot between
