4 2010-2011 STREETERVILLE COMMUNITY GUIDE
We, at the Streeterville Chamber of Commerce are focused on leadership, whether
in a large business, community-based business or entrepreneurial venture. We are
a private, non-profit organization committed to helping our members build their
businesses by increasing their visibility in the neighborhood. Your membership with the Chamber
provides access to a wealth of outstanding networking opportunities, educational programs,
advocacy outlets and promotional vehicles.
The Chamber strives to connect members to residents, local government and other businesses
through a variety of networking events and meetings. In addition, initiatives such as the Minorities
Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) build on these connections
and provide equal opportunity for economic prosperity. Throughout the year, the Chamber
provides businesses and residents multiple opportunities to network. Our Business After Dark,
Annual Boat Cruise and Summer Breeze Series gives local businesses a chance to meet with their
neighbors and allies in a relaxed, but professional setting. By bringing together a community of
like-minded professionals with the common goal of promoting local prosperity, the Chamber
helps members succeed through building business relationships and sharing expertise.
The 2010-2011 Community Guide will serve as a roadmap to your unique Streeterville experience.
Detailed inside, the Chamber has highlighted many prominent Streeterville businesses, such as
hotels, shopping centers and restaurants that you should be familiar with. In the Community
Guide, you will find a Calendar of Events which lists important Streeterville Chamber of
Commerce events, like our Annual Meeting and State of the Ward event. The guide also includes
a categorized business directory of our members, which will serve as a terrific reference tool.
We encourage you to contact our members and visit their businesses.
The Streeterville Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting the growth and prosperity of
Streeterville through tourism, commerce, economic development and beautification. We warmly
thank you for your continued patronage and support of the business community.
