EDH 28 dampers are one-side operating
hydraulic dampers for impact speeds up
to 2,0 m/s.
All EDH 28 dampers are produced with
and without an overload safety valve
(ABS). This anti-blocking device prevents
the piston rod bending when the impact
is too strong.
Two different adjustment options are
available; either adjustment screw or pull
and rotate the piston rod. Make your
choice considering ease of access and
the possibility of unauthorized
adjustment.
After each damping an integrated spring
returns the piston rod to its normal
position. EDH 28 dampers can also be
supplied with a magnet instead of the
return spring. These dampers are
particularly suitable for light sliding
doors as they have no return spring that
can slightly re-open the door.
EDH 28 dampers are mainly used on
sliding doors and in transportation
systems. A special design with an excess
pressure valve is available for use on fire
protection doors (Certificate No. Do.11.3).
EDH 28 Universal Dampers
With single fixing thread
Fix the damper directly with its thread and the nut. Make sure that the direction of
impact is parallel to the axis of the damper. A fixing block is available as an extra
accessory.
When choosing a damper with stepped adjustment (ZR), the damping force is simply
adjusted by pulling and turning the piston rod. Dampers with screw adjustment (NR)
are supplied with an adjustment screw at the top of the piston rod.
A damper with two fixing threads should always be used with heavy loads.
EDH 28 Universal Dampers
With magnet
EDH 28 Universal dampers with magnets are particularly suitable for light sliding
doors, with no return spring to re-open the door. The piston rod is pulled back to its
normal position by the magnet when the door is opened again.
The damping force can be continuously adjusted by simply pulling and turning the
piston rod.
Use a steel plate to make contact with the magnet. We recommend our AP GD 50
G16 counter plate - part no. 040 025. (Please see chapter 7
page 07.041.00).
Fix the damper directly with its thread and the nut. Make sure
that the direction of impact is parallel to the axis of the damper.
A EDHM damper with two fixing threads should always be
used with heavy loads.
A fixing block is available as an extra accessory (see diagram on
page 03.016.00).
