caps and gowns, backdrops, archways, large floral
numbers, helium balloons and many other effects.
A large part of the shop’s success is that the
team have worked out what goes best to complete
the outfit. So, when hiring a costume, you get
the clothing and the accessories that go with
that outfit for the one price. The costumes are a
mix of quality original clothing, imported outfits
and even handmade costumes from small to
plus sizes. Deborah likes different and original
things and always looks for new ideas, saying,
“It’s a bit addictive: there’s always something else.”
Accessories, including wigs, jewellery, makeup
and contact lenses, are also for sale.
Deborah and the staff enjoy helping people
feel happy with what they have chosen, so their
costume plays a key part in them having a great
time. She says, “Sometimes when people come in,
they are not very enthusiastic about going to an
event, but by the time they leave, they are looking
forward to it.”

character, or dress from the popular eras of the
20s, 60s 70s, you’re sure to find the perfect outfit.
