• By Jaime Cunningham
IT IS SET TO be a whirlwind
next two months for water polo
player Aggie Weston as she jets
across the world to represent
New Zealand.
Weston, 18, will compete
at the ANOC World Beach
Games in Bali next month and
under-20 water polo world
championships in Portugal in
September.
The Rangi Ruru Girls’ School
year 13 student was recently
named top goal scorer at the
National Water Polo League
where Canterbury claimed
bronze.
Weston captained the Rangi
Ruru team to a fifth place finish
at the New Zealand secondary
schools’ water polo championships
in April. They were the
top South Island school at the
tournament.
Weston was the team’s most
valuable player at the South
Island tournament earlier this
year. She is also the school’s
head of sport.
Rangi Ruru director of sport
Mandy Anderson
said Weston
has been a key
player in the
senior A team
for five years and
is a “stunning”
player to watch.
“Her power,
strength and
speed in the
water is impressive. Aggie
has been a member of the
Canterbury women’s team for
past three seasons and recently
took out top goal scorer in the
National League, assisting her
team to a bronze medal – the
first medal at a senior women’s
level for many years for the
Canterbury women. Aggie is a
player to watch in the future,”
said Anderson, who is also
manager. Weston is part of
Plan may
see boy
racers
banned
on 12
roads
• By Briar Allen
HORNBY, Sockburn and
Yaldhurst residents’ concerns
over boy racers have been listened
to, with 12 roads earmarked for
possible restrictions.
A process is under way that
could see the full length of
Establishment Drive, Depot St,
Headquarters Pl, Quadrant Drive,
Aruhe Rd, Watts Rd, Weaver Pl,
Aviation Drive, Mania Rd and
part of Branston St, Pound Rd and
Syd Bradley Rd added to the Prohibited
Times on Roads register.
It would mean vehicles would be
prohibited on these roads between
10pm and 5am. Some of the roads
would be restricted seven days a
week, while others would be on
selected days.
It comes after residents
raised ongoing concerns
about boy racers. The city
council wants feedback on the
plan from the wider public,
with the consultation period
closing on July 25. Following
consultation, a hearing will give
the public a chance to speak
to the panel, which will make
a recommendation to the city
council. A decision on the final
bylaw is expected before the end
of the year.
Crime worries for Riccarton
• By Briar Allen
A RICCARTON man is afraid
people in the area will have to
start boarding their windows up
like a jail to protect themselves
from criminals
Tiago Dos Santos moved
to New Zealand from South
America in 2009 and said people
secure there homes like this to
protect themselves.
“I’m afraid that sooner or later
it will escalate to robbing people
on the streets and breaking into
houses.”
Dos Santos said he has been
a victim of crime four times in
10 months, with the criminals
targeting his car and work van.
“It has cost more than $3000 in
repairs. This has been my life for
the last 10 months; worried and
anxious,” he said.
Police data showed between
May 2021 and April 2022,
Riccarton had a total of 767
reported victimisation’s. Between
May 2022 and April 2023 there
were a total of 1332 reported
victimisation’s.
“I’m not the only one who
feels this way, I’ve talked with
friends and random people
who are saying the same thing,
they’re getting scared of what
Christchurch is becoming.”
He said he had called the police
to get an update but there has not
been one at this stage.
“But I strongly think they are
doing their best.”
Hornby is also having
problems with ongoing crime
but residents who held a public
meeting were told there would
be no more police for the
suburb – despite Canterbury
District Metro Commander
Superintendent Lane Todd being
presented with a petition with
more than 1000 signatures.
Greater Hornby Residents
Association chair Kim Moss
said residents were disappointed
in this result but said they will
continue to push for the station
to be open. “They have shown
they are passionate and are
fighting for what they believe is
needed for our community,” she
said.
Community Patrol Riccarton
treasurer Gary Chisholm said
they get contacted about car
break ins and they first ask
residents to report it to the police.
“We go on about five night
and four day patrols per week
and send patrols out to park and
observe for 10 minutes in the
reported area.”
He said people are still leaving
valuables in their cars and ideally
people should not leave their car
on the road overnight.
“We know that’s not always
possible. If crimes don’t get
reported, they won’t know it
happened.”
Riccarton Ward councillor
Tyla Harrison-Hunt said he has
had texts about crime and is
working on a collective to help.
“I am anticipating about
20 community groups and
individuals who do work in
the area to be a part of this
collective, but I need to notify
Harrison-Hunt said the idea
of the collective is based on
a similar model the Greater
Hornby Residents Association
uses.
“The collective’s about
addressing issues collaboratively
instead of individually, which
will contribute to the growth
of the wider Riccarton vision.
Youth crime is a large issue
in our ward and the only way
to address this is by coming
together to fix the problem.”
New pyjamas for kids in need
• By Heidi Slade
CHOLMONDELEY
Children’s Centre has received
a donation of more than 200
pairs of brand-new winter
pyjamas and multiple pairs of
slippers, for a second year in
a row.
The Governors Bay charity
has been operating for 98
years and provides temporary
emergency and respite care for
children in need.
Donated by
the Kindness
Collective
Foundation,
the pyjamas
and slippers
“take a
Lisa Hurry
massive
weight off
our overhead
costs,” Cholmondeley practice
manager Lisa Hurry said.
“We are an organisation
that’s 80 per cent funded by
the community.”
Hurry said the donation
was part of a Kindness
Collective initiative, which
runs annually.
The collective is a
nationwide charity that
provides children and their
families with the items they
need, like pyjamas and
slippers.
“Every year they have a
pyjama drive,” Hurry
said.
DONATION: Thanks to the Kindness Collective Foundation, 200 pairs of brand-new
winter pyjamas have been donated to Cholmondeley Children’s Centre.
Community groups donate
the pyjamas to the collective,
which then distributes
them.
Over the past three years,
the collective has distributed
more than 25,000 pairs of
warm winter pyjamas to
children in need.
Hurry said a portion of the
pyjamas and slippers would
stay at Cholmondeley for
children when they come for
temporary stays.
The remainder would go
back with children to their
families, for them to keep.
“When children come
and stay with us, we provide
everything they need to stay,”
Hurry said.
“A lot of these children
might not have pyjamas.”
Hurry said Cholmondeley
currently supports about 350
children and their families,
and over 30,000 children
have come through the
centre during its 98 years of
operation.
Thursday July 6 2023
“A lot of people have a
story or a connection to
Cholmondeley,” she said.
“And we can’t do it without
the community.”
The centre thrives off
initiatives like its annual
Giving Day, when donors
match all donations made to
the centre.
This year, the Giving Day
raised more than $50,000
Changes proposed for roads
to stop anti-social driving
•From page 1
Greater Hornby Residents
Association chair Kim Moss
said it had passed on residents’
concerns to the city council.
“Any respite for residents from
anti-social road users late at night
or early hours in the morning
will be appreciated,
especially for
families with
young children and
the elderly,” she
said.
Riccarton city
Kim Moss
councillor Tyla
Harrison-Hunt
said the plan
is important to help keep the
community safe.
“This has been a huge interest
to the public with the amount of
boy racers and anti-social road
users,” Harrison-Hunt said.
“This will help support the
police enforce the bylaw which
will really help the community.”
City council transport
operations manager
Stephen Wright said the
roads tend to be in secluded
areas, where there is a history
of people gathering to watch or
take part in unsafe driving, such
Stephen
Wright
as burnouts and
street racing.
“There is
a history of
complaints,
damage to the road
and a history of
road-related antisocial
activities
happening on these
roads,” Wright said.
“If these roads are added to
the register, it will give the police
access to tools to address and
reduce dangerous and antisocial
behaviour.
“This includes being able
to issue infringement notices
(tickets) and warning notices,
which can result in the seizure
and impoundment of vehicles for
repeated breaches,” he said.
The city council is also
reviewing its cruising and
prohibited times on roads bylaw,
which has not been reviewed
since 2014.
Wright said whenever a bylaw
is reviewed, staff update and
modernise it to ensure it is
“There have been changes in
the last decade. We have also
reviewed the roads that the bylaw
regulates and are recommending
some changes as a result.
“The bylaw aims to reduce
dangerous and anti-social
vehicle-related behaviour on our
roads, and enables the police to
take certain enforcement actions,
complementing other powers
they have.”
New complex marks centenary
for funeral directors
The 100th anniversary of funeral
directors Lamb & Hayward is not
only being proudly celebrated by this
Canterbury owned and operated funeral
company but has also been marked with
the opening in April of the company’s
new Halswell facility.
Located on the corner of Halswell
Junction and Wigram roads, Oaklands
offers a 200-seat chapel, with extra
space for another 100-plus people, and
the Centennial Lounge where family
and friends can gather for refreshments
after the funeral service.
Views of the Port Hills from the
chapel and of the Southern Alps from
the Centennial Lounge bring a special
Christchurch character to Oaklands,
while creating a peaceful environment
for those attending services there.
Lead funeral director Liz Mills says
she and her fellow funeral directors,
Julie Harrington and Cara Hall, are
thrilled that Lamb & Hayward is now
offering services for families in the
south-west of Christchurch.
“We are all local, so we are familiar
with the community, and we are very
happy to be here for the local people,”
Liz says.
“Residents from around the area
have been watching our complex being
built, so it’s very pleasing for everyone
to see it completed. It’s one of the first
purpose-built funeral homes to be built
in the city for a long time.”
The Oaklands team, from left, Julie
Harrington, Cara Hall, and Liz Mills.
Lamb and Hayward’s new
purpose-built Halswell facility.
The two-hectare site not only provides
parking for 175 vehicles, it also features
beautiful landscaping and planting.
“Lamb & Hayward is well-known for
the beauty of its grounds, and Oaklands
is following in the tradition, with daily
landscaping,” Liz says, adding, “The new
plantings are already attracting bird life,
too.”
Providing a peaceful, calming
environment, the grounds also include
the Waka Trail, which is a continuation
of the Longhurst Trail.
“Since we opened, Oaklands has
already hosted several funerals,
and the feedback has been lovely,
with people commenting on the
community feel, and describing it as a
green oasis,” Liz says.
She and her team invite people to call
in to have a look around and ask any
questions they may have about funeral
services.
“We want people to feel it’s their
place, a familiar space, so when they
need to call on our services for family or
friends, they will feel comfortable here.
That’s very important to us.”
STUCK IN: More than 100 volunteers helped plant native trees at Engelfield Reserve over
the weekend.
Planting day success
• By Briar Allen
NORTHWOOD has become
greener, with 2000 native trees
planted.
The trees were planted at
Engelfield Reserve on Sunday as
a collaboration between Green
Gear, Trees for Canterbury and
Styx Living Laboratory Trust.
Trees for Canterbury manager
Steve Bush said the event had
a great turn out, with plenty of
people helping.
“The day was awesome, we had
more than 100 people attend the
planting with a great compliment
of volunteers from Treetech
there,” he said.
Bush said the weather was
cold, but the sun was shining and
families got stuck in.
“It was great to see a lot of
families out on the day. The
children not only planted but
gathered all the used plant pots
and crates the trees came in so
that they could all be reused.”
He said they managed to get
1500 of the 2000 trees planted
on the day, with staff from Styx
Living Laboratory Trust heading
back on Monday morning to
plant the last 500.
for Civic Awards
DO YOU know someone who
gives up their time to help
others, or goes above and
beyond the call of duty?
Each year Christchurch benefits
from the service of volunteers,
with their valuable
contributions recognised
in the annual city council
Civic Awards.
Submissions are open
to nominate local heroes.
City council civic
and international relations
manager Duncan
Sandeman said the Civic
Awards offer a great opportunity
to acknowledge those
in our community who have
gone the extra mile.
“We want to share the stories
of Christchurch residents who
have generously donated their
time and energy to benefit others,”
said Sandeman.
“This is the ideal chance to
put forward those individuals
and groups who have made
Lucy
Alice Gray
such a big difference to so
many others, as well as to the
environment and community
well-being.”
Recipients from the previous
ceremony include the youngest
ever awardee, 15-year-old
climate activist Lucy Alice
Gray.
Lucy learned of climate
change at age 10 and was so
appalled she decided to do
something about it.
Beginning by making
small, everyday changes
such as what she ate and
how she travelled, her passion
grew into contributing
to the development of climate
change curriculum for schools.
“It’s time to thank those selfless
acts through this recognition,”
said Sandeman.
Club calls out for new members
• By Briar Allen
GETTING STUCK in and
getting stuff done in the
community is what Hornby
Rotary Club is all about. They’ve
been doing it for more than 60
years.
Now they are looking for a
new wave of people to join their
club, which has 35 members who
meet weekly.
Club president Paul Burns
said they are very active in the
community, with a diverse mix
of members in terms of age,
nationality and gender.
“We have helped fundraise
relief for Cyclone Gabrielle, we
help support youth in achieving
their aspirations and dreams. We
sent a fully equipped ambulance
to Tonga, we do a wide range of
projects,” he said.
Burns said they also helped
replace the surface of the basketball
court at Branston Park and
are leading the fundraising for a
hydrotherapy pool at the Hornby
Centre, with support from the
Greater Hornby Residents Association
and the city council.
“It was going to take a long
time to get completed if we didn’t
step in and we know our community
needs this. It will help
provide body and joint relief,
fitness and balance and so much
more.”
Their target is to raise $1.4 million,
and to date they have raised
COMMUNITY BUILD: Hornby Rotary Club president Paul Burns at the under-construction
Hornby Centre. The club is fundraising for a hydrotherapy pool at the centre.
just over $700,000.
Former club president Hamish
Campbell said they would like to
see more people get in and support
the project.
“The more facilities in our
area, the better it is for people.
“We want people to join who
want to help make a difference
and give back to the community,”
he said.
The club has also donated
$1000 towards the upcoming
Matariki fun day at South
Hornby School, to help cover the
cost of equipment hire.
Burns said the funds will go
towards things like a bouncy
castle and candy floss.
He said it was great to support
events like this.
“Without our support some
events would struggle to get
off the ground, but they help
‘We want people to join
who want to help make a
difference and give back to
the community’
– Hamish Campbell
celebrate and bring people
together. It will be really nice to
see the community relax and be
happy on this occasion.”
The Rotary club is divided into
different sections, such as community
and youth, international,
fundraising and projects.
Campbell said they encourage
people to join a section based on
their skills and interests.
“It is important to give back to
the community, to fill the holes
in society and give people the
best chance at life possible. You
get a good sense of achievement
from it.”
Burns said they are a very
social, fun club and welcome
anyone and everyone who wants
to get stuck in and get stuff done.
“We are proud to be open
for everyone who wants to get
hands-on in the community. It
is really good fun; you get to see
and learn from others who come
from different walks of life.”
• People are invited to
attend an open night to
learn more about Hornby
Rotary Club at 5.30pm on
Pies: A Kiwi tradition re-imagined
Wendy Morgan’s parents
founded the popular
Hillyer’s Bakery in
Lincoln. She tells the
story of the bakery in
her new cookbook, Who
Made All the Pies: The
ultimate collection of
pastry treats for every
Kiwi household – and
shares some of her
family’s favourite recipes
PIE TIME:
Wendy Morgan’s
new cookbook
includes
delicious apricot
and rosemary
pies.
While Morgan includes a
chapter on making different
kinds of pastry for pies, she
does say ready-made pastry is a
good convenient product and if
it means someone gets to make
a pie from the book they would
otherwise be too time poor to do
then “I say go for it”.
Flaky pastry 1
225g butter, room temperature
firm
300g high-grade white flour
Pinch salt
185ml cold water
Directions
Rub 30g of butter into the
flour and salt by hand, or use an
electric mixer.
Add the cold water and bring
together to form a soft dough.
Wrap the dough in cling film
or baking paper and rest in the
fridge for 10 minutes, then roll
out to a 40 x 20cm rectangle.
Break the remaining butter
into small pieces and dot it over
two-thirds of the rectangle. Fold
the plain third of the pastry
over to the centre. Then fold the
buttered third over to make a
square. Give the pastry a quarter
turn on the bench.
Gently roll the pastry out.
Start by pushing down with
the rolling pin. Roll out to 50 x
16cm then repeat the same fold
sequence as before.
Wrap the pastry in cling film
or baking paper and rest in the
fridge for 20 minutes.
Repeat the rolling out and
folding sequence five more times,
resting the pastry in the fridge
each time.
Apricot and rosemary
pies
Makes 12 in a muffin tin
Ingredients
250g dried apricots
½ cup white sugar
2 cups boiling water
3 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
1 quantity flaky pastry
1 egg
Demerara sugar
To serve:
Vanilla ice cream
Directions
Put the apricots and sugar into
a glass or stainless-steel bowl
and pour the boiling water over
them. Cover with cling film and
leave overnight.
The next day, preheat the oven
to 170 deg C fan bake.
Pour the apricots and juice
into a ceramic dish, cover with
aluminium foil and bake for 1.5
hours, stirring every half hour.
Add the lemon juice for the last
half hour and the chopped fresh
rosemary for the last 10 minutes.
Leave the mixture to cool.
Turn the oven up to 210 deg C
fan bake.
Cut two-thirds from the
pastry block. On a lightly floured
bench, roll to 3mm thick and,
using a 10cm round cutter, cut 12
rounds. Place these bases into the
muffin tin. Fill each base with 1
tablespoon of apricot mixture:
there should be just enough mix
for the 12 pies. Roll the last third
of pastry out until large enough
to cut twelve 6cm rounds. Place
these on top of the pies.
Whisk the egg and egg-wash
the top of the pies. Cut some
airholes in the pastry with the tip
of a sharp knife. Sprinkle the top
of the pies with demerara sugar.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until
dark golden and puffy. Cool on
a rack if not eating them straight
away. Serve with vanilla ice
cream.
HERE’S HOW
BUDGET
2023
HELPS WITH THE
COST OF LIVING
Helping with health costs by
removing the $5 co-payment
for prescription medicines.
This will help an estimated three
million Kiwis.
Reducing the cost of early
childhood education for parents
by extending 20 hours free
ECE to two-year-olds. This will
save families money and reduce
barriers for working parents to
take on more hours if they can.
Permanently cutting the costs
of public transport for young
Kiwis. We’re providing free fares
on buses, trains and ferries for
kids aged 5 to 12 and half-price
discounts for those aged 13 to 24.
HOME & HEATING
Get the balance
right this winter
Enviro Master has been helping Cantabrians
get the balance right when it comes to
choosing the perfect heat pump or air
conditioning system for their home or office
since 2002.
Their team of expert sales people, qualified
electricians, heating and refrigeration
engineers, help to supply and install
Christchurch’s widest range of heat pumps,
and because they have no affiliation with any
one brand, you can be assured their advice
on the benefits and differences between each
product is unbiased.
They will recommend the most energyefficient
and cost-effective system for your
individual situation, and will have you
regulating the heat in your home or office in
no time.
Nowadays, customers are often wanting
whole home solutions to be able to maintain
even temperatures throughout the home both
in Winter and Summer. This can be achieved
by using ducted systems or multi systems
and Enviro Master are experts in designing,
installing and commissioning these systems.
Help is currently available with a
government subsidy covering 80 per cent of
the cost of a new heat pump up to $3000.
The subsidy is part of the Warmer Kiwi
Homes initiative and is available to Home
owner/occupiers with a Community Services
Card, a SuperGold combo card or who live in
a low-income area as determined by deciles
8-10 on the New Zealand Deprivation Index.
The applicant’s home must also have been
built before 2008, have insulation up to code
(insulation subsidies also available) and have
no fixed heating in a living area, such as an
existing operational heat pump or fireplace.
With new regulations now in place for
Landlords to provide heating in rentals, it’s
time to ensure you are meeting the new
standards.
Inadequate heating and ventilation can
lead to mould growth and dampness in your
property, leading to costlier maintenance
and an unhealthy living environment.
Providing a fixed heater with a higher heat
output and lower running costs, like a heat
pump, will enable your tenants to heat the
area effectively. Enviro Master are well
experienced with the Tenancy Services
software to ensure that you are meeting your
requirements.
To ensure you choose the right system
for your home or business, one of Enviro
Master’s experts will visit to assess your
individual situation, offer advice and
answer any questions you may have. This
consultation is at no cost to the customer
and is always provided before a heat pump is
installed.
Anyone wondering about their eligibility
for a subsidised heat pump are welcome to
get in touch for details and help with the
application process. To find out more, call
Enviro Master on (03) 366 0525 or visit
their website www.enviromaster.co.nz
Keep cosy with
RD Petroleum
this winter
RD Petroleum (RDP) is a familiar sight
for farm and rural residents around the
Canterbury region, however now days urban
residents also enjoy the same excellent
customer service for which RDP is known for
in rural communities, through their home
heating diesel.
RDP began its home heating diesel delivery
service to the lower South Island’s main urban
centres of Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin
and Invercargill a number of years ago.
Customer demand has continued to increase
year upon year, and RDP has responded
with specialised improvements to its delivery
equipment.
The trucks that deliver RDP’s home heating
diesel in each urban centre are drawn from
the company’s extensive vehicle fleet. This
means they have the latest communication
and GPS tracking technology on board, so
the operations team always know where they
are and how far away they are from their next
delivery stop.
RDP’s home heating diesel trucks come
equipped with a specially-designed hose,
through which the diesel is pumped from
the truck into house tanks. The length of
the hose allows the trucks to access tanks
without having to enter the property, avoiding
damaging the driveway. RDP is the place to
go if you require diesel conveniently delivered
to your home and as a loyal RDP customer
you’re offered discounted pricing and can
become eligible for value-added benefits.
For all enquiries please phone
time. For others it is another opportunity
to show work alongside fellow students
and their tutors. Most of the work will
be for sale and those who seek to acquire
an original work of art should definitely
schedule a visit in the early stages of the
Skoda’s Scoutline a stylish addition
SKODA HAS created a Scoutline
version of the Kamiq, its smallest
SUV, to help raise the profile
and sales of a model that’s flown
under the radar of buyers since
debuting here three years ago.
The Scoutline adds more visual
punch to the bland-looking
Kamiq compact urban SUV. It
does this with matte black wheel
arch liners, silver bodywork elements,
17-inch alloy wheels and
full-LED taillights.
Firing the opening and fairly
pricey salvo in the two-model
Kamiq catalogue is the $39,990
Scoutline being reviewed here.
Filling the closing chapter is the
flagship $48,990 Monte Carlo
version.
Powering the Scoutline is a 1.0
litre turbo petrol. Exclusive to
the Monte Carlo is a nippy and
eager to please 110kw 1.5 litre
turbo petrol engine.
Motoring with Bob Nettleton
The spirited 85kw threecylinder
turbo-charged motor is
a little belter, and its distinctive
three-cylinder throb music to
the ears to anyone who appreciates
cool sounding engines. A
favourable power-to-weight ratio
added a keener edge to the test
vehicle’s acceleration.
For a smallish SUV, this one’s
easy and effortless to drive at
open road speeds. A smart
7-speed tiptronic auto utilises
two clutches to consistently deliver
swift decisive gear changes.
A cabin that’s as spacious as
you’ll find in the compact urban
SUV market segment is a real
bonus, along with an elevated
driving position offering excellent
all round visibility. Rear
room legroom is better than a
vehicle of this size has a right to
be. A generously proportioned
400-litre boot is extendible that
can almost be trebled in size
with the 60:40 split rear seat
backrests folded down.
The white, red and orange
LED ambient lighting puts on a
cool colour show, illuminating
the centre console, door storage
compartments, door handles
and foot well. LED reading lights
are standard and you can opt
for a black roof lining. Staying
in touch is well sorted with
built-in SmartLink technology
for connecting devices via Apple
CarPlay, Android Auto or Mirror
Link.
Simply Clever is Skoda’s
marketing is battle cry. In this
vehicle there is plenty of evidence
of that. The umbrella compartment
(including umbrella) is in
the driver’s door, and there’s an
ice scraper in the fuel filler flap.
This is more pure genius than
simply clever.
The test vehicle was laden with
safety features. Among the more
innovative are Lane Assist, City
Emergency Brake, Driver Fatigue
Alert, and Cruise Control. Using
a camera, Lane Assist recognises
road markings and helps the
driver to keep to their traffic
lane.
The Kamiq rides confidently,
offering the benefits of an SUV
with the agile driving characteristics
of a compact car. It shares
the same platform as the Skoda
Scala hatch. There are important
points of difference between this
pair. The Scoutline, for instance,
has longer springs and shock
absorbers, a stiffer stabiliser for
the front axle and a reinforced
rear axle.
Spring and damper rates are
tuned to soak up even the worst
bumps and potholes. Over
undulating roads the test vehicle
remained steadfastly calm and
composed. It’s not all perfection,
with the steering a ‘work on’. In
its current form it lacks the road
feel, deft weighting and all round
polish and finesse of some of its
better rivals.
HEAR AGAIN are proud to bring a world first to New Zealand.
A leading Danish hearing aid manufacturer has recently
launched a range of hearing aids that provide the most natural
listening experience ever. Even a great hearing aid has always
sounded like a hearing aid until now.
The revolutionary new devices change the game to deliver the
most pure, natural sound ever. Typically, sound processed in
a hearing aid reaches your eardrum later than sound heard
directly; when these two ‘out of sync’ signals mix, you get an
artificial sound. This has been a problem for many years!
