Blinds & Shutters - Issue 3/2023

Summer seems to have arrived and I imagine it’s peak season for companies that are involved in the awnings and solar shading markets. There seems to a lot of choices out there and it will be interesting to see how the home improvement market copes with the increasing of interest rates over the last few months. Lots of fixed mortgage rates are coming to an end, from historically low levels, so it way create another shock to consumers. So fingers crossed that it’s not as bad as some economists would have us believe and hopefully the rest of the summer will be long and hot!

Victoria Campbell,
new account
manager at TCMM,
(right) talks Blinds
& Shutters through
her week
Ihave worked within the shutter industry for
nearly 5 years and have been the new Business
Account Manager with C&C Trade Shutters
since the beginning of the year. Personally, I love the
variety of people I meet in this trade role, and I’ve
seen some truly incredible builds and renovations
already.
Previously, my career was in retail, offering
consultation to emerging designers and businesses,
and worked as a Visual Merchandiser. The skills I
developed in these roles helped me greatly in
terms of offering support and direction to those
looking to energise their business.
A typical week for me is split between the office
and getting out and about on the road. I deal with
all new trade account enquiries and help them to
get up and running. Typical onboarding includes a
site visit, bespoke training options and of course, a
run through of the shutter options and pricing. I’m
reaching out to prospective clients and checking in
on our long-standing ones, offering extra support
when and however required.
I really enjoy building relationships with our
trade companies and seeing their businesses grow
and flourish. Whether it’s a quick site visit to advise
on design, or a chat about products and business
management over a coffee, it’s always great to put
faces to names and provide a really competitive
offering for our customers.
Our head offices are based on the south coast.
We can even see the sea out the windows, so a
swim is only ever 5 mins away! The Customer
Support Team are fantastic. Each of them has a real
wealth of knowledge. They’re excellent at solving
design problems and will find a solution for almost
all windows. Plus, they’re super friendly and always
on hand to support with online portal enquires
and technical questions. In fact, we’re often told
how our customer service stands out from the
crowd. It’s something we’re really proud of.
Visit us at tradeshutters.com and get in touch if
you’d like to see our product ranges, open an
account, or chat about anything shutter related. You
can even join us on a training day if you’re new to
shutters, or to simply refresh your skills. We look
forward to working with you.
