Blinds & Shutters - Issue 3/2023

Summer seems to have arrived and I imagine it’s peak season for companies that are involved in the awnings and solar shading markets. There seems to a lot of choices out there and it will be interesting to see how the home improvement market copes with the increasing of interest rates over the last few months. Lots of fixed mortgage rates are coming to an end, from historically low levels, so it way create another shock to consumers. So fingers crossed that it’s not as bad as some economists would have us believe and hopefully the rest of the summer will be long and hot!

Continued partnership
Bradford City AFC is pleased to confirm BlindsbyPost will
continue as an official club partner, ahead of the 2023/24
campaign. The continuation of the sponsorship has been
marked by BlindsbyPost’s range of dedicated Bradford City
AFC branded blinds.
Having agreed renewed terms with the
club last summer, the Shipley-based blinds
and shutter specialist’s branding will remain
on the University of Bradford Stadium’s
players’ tunnel, as well as in Valley Parade’s
Morrisons Family Stand and The Bradford
Lifts Stand.
BlindsbyPost, who will also continue as the
club’s official Facebook and Instagram
business partner, is a family-run business
which offers a wide range of made-tomeasure
blinds for a number of different
indoor spaces. The online retailer hopes that
the sponsorship of the football club will
contribute towards investment and growth in
the Bradford district.
Oliver Hudson, director of BlindsbyPost,
said: “As a Yorkshire-based business, we’re
proud to not only sponsor our local football
team, but to celebrate our partnership with
our limited edition roller blinds. There are
many passionate fans of the club across the
city and beyond, and we’re proud to offer this
exciting merchandise for the home on our
site.”
City’s commercial manager, Michael
Shackleton, said: “We are delighted to be
entering another season of our partnership
with BlindsbyPost, taking our affiliation into its
fourth year.
“This partnership is one that has already
delivered significantly for us as a club -
including seeing the introduction of our first
players’ tunnel since Valley Parade’s
redevelopment, ahead of the 2020/21 season
- and is one which continues to develop.
“I would like to take this opportunity to
thank Oliver and his team for their continued
support and hard work to make this
partnership a success, and am looking
forward to seeing how it grows over the next
12 months.”
