This customary showcase dedicated
to worldwide cinematographic
art is punctually back. Promoted by
the Venice Biennale and directed by
Alberto Barbera, it will take place at
the Lido of Venice from 30 August
to 9 September in its traditional
Cinema Palace venues and the Cinema
Citadel ones around it.
The international Jury, chaired for
this 80th Edition by American filmmaker
Damien Chazelle, will award
the feature-length films in Competition
with the following official
prizes: Golden Lion for best film,
Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize, Silver
Lion – Award for Best Director, Volpi
Cup for Best Actress, Volpi Cup for
Best Actor, Special Jury Prize Award
for Best Screenplay, Marcello Mastroianni
Award for Best New Young
Actor or Actress.
The Competition section and the
other programmed ones will be
accompanied by international premieres,
retrospectives and tributes
to personalities from the Cinema
and Showbiz world.

1900 Luxury Beach Club del Lido e rappresenta
un’occasione per autori e pubblico di incontrarsi
e dialogare della comune passione: la
lettura. Nel mese di agosto, il “Salotto del

hosted at the Des Bains 1900 Luxury Beach
Club seaside resort on the Lido, and represents
an opportunity for authors and the public to meet
