SENIORS’ LIVING LIFE
Time to talk about
your final farewell
Nowadays people are eager to take
a more active part in deciding how to
be remembered. This is a way you can
remove some uncertainty from your
family members at this difficult time. Prearranging
your funeral provides peace of
mind for you and your family, knowing
that you’re not leaving your family with
all the decisions. It enables you to leave
an expression of your wishes to guide
your family on how you would like to
be remembered. It assists with answers
to common questions about details such
as venue, readings, music and flowers.
Family members can also gain comfort
from knowing they are respectfully
following the wishes of their loved one.
Lamb & Hayward are happy to meet
with you and guide you through a prearrangement
at a time suitable to you.
There is no cost for this service. You can
choose how much detail you record with
us. After meeting with one of our funeral
directors we will hold on file a record of
your wishes. If you wish to add or change
your wishes in the future this can be done
at any time. We would recommend you
let family and caregivers know we are
holding your instructions. There are no
fees charged by the Lamb & Hayward
Funeral Trustee Ltd for the establishment
of your pre-paid plan, management of the
trust, or to exit the trust.
Join Supreme for the short flight to
Auckland and take a three night break in the
centre of New Zealands biggest city to enjoy
some sightseeing and Theatre. Staying the at
5* Sky City Grand featuring buffet breakfasts
and most dinners.
Join our quality touring coach and travel
through the Eastern suburbs with views
of Rangitoto in the background. Visit the
Auckland War Memorial Museum, Tāmaki
Paenga Hira or Auckland Museum which
is one of New Zealand’s most important
museums and war memorials. Its neoclassical
building constructed in the 1920s and 1950s,
stands on Observatory Hill, the remains of a
dormant volcano, in the Auckland Domain,
near Auckland CBD. Travel across the iconic
Harbour Bridge, an eight-lane motorway
bridge over the Waitemata Harbour.
Construction started in 1954 and finished in
1959. The bridge was tolled until March 1984
to help pay for costs.
We also enjoy a day trip to one of the
most unique art and sculpture parks in New
Zealand. Sculpturem. Here, after enjoying a
light lunch, we have time to wander through
the gallery and gardens to enjoy the many
quirky art and sculpture on display. One of
the highlights of our tour are premium tickets
to the Westend hit “the best exotic Marigold
Hotel”. Laugh and enjoy the anecdotes of
“getting older”. “Are we old or have we just
been young for a very long time?”. Staged in
the historic Civic Theatre. The Civic was first
opened on 20 December 1929 and is one of
only seven surviving atmospheric theatres
in the world. Originally built as a picture
theatre for the people of Auckland it was the
pride of Auckland for many years. After a $42
million restoration it was lovingly restored to
its former glory in 2000.The interior of The
Civic is famous for its domed ceiling of stars.
It is, in fact, a flat ceiling cleverly painted to
resemble a dome, with thousands of lights as
the ‘stars’. The ‘night sky’ is a representation of
a Southern Hemisphere sky at 10.00pm on an
April evening. The design style of The Civic
is of a Moorish Garden at night, with turrets,
minarets, spires and tiled roofs and, of course,
the famous Abyssinian Panthers. The Civic
seats 2,378 people.
There is time for you to enjoy a dinner at a
restaurant of your choice and indulge in some
shopping or extra sightseeing. Your Supreme
