Dušan Dobriković,
operations manager of
the Biolife plant in Crepaja:
“When we planned
the plants, we originally
wanted to use corn silage
from our own fields as
a substrate, mixed with
manure from our livestock
farms. Once we had put
the plants into operation
in 2021, everything had
changed and we were
forced to rethink the
situation.”
Ten years ago, Global
Seed in Čurug operated
one of the first biogas
plants in Serbia. According
to the plant manager
Konstadin Radanovic,
Global Seed wants to be
one of the first to convert
biogas to methane when
the compensation for
electricity fed into the
grid finishes for the first
part of the plant. They
also want to supply the
school and other official
buildings in nearby Čurug
with heat.
