Very Important Kids
The dull holiday clubs of our youths are long gone. No more tired-looking playrooms,
uninspired play leaders, or umpteen renditions of outdated nursery rhymes. There are now
established and chic places for the cool kids, where an endless supply of first-class fun is
served up with mocktails and smiles. You might even find yourself a tad envious!
“Kids’ clubs have come beyond cool in recent years,” says Karen
Noble, Sovereign Luxury Travel’s Regional Destination Manager.
“I’m always amazed at all the incredible entertainment options
for children of all ages these days. While parents are being
treated like VIPs in our handpicked collection of luxury resorts,
the youngsters are getting similar V.I.K. - Very Important Kids -
treatment. It’s fantastic!”
Children-specific swimming pools and private babysitting
services come almost as standard these days, while a few of
these kids’ clubs are a cut above the rest, particularly among our
Mediterranean destinations.
“Nowadays, children are being welcomed into our luxury resorts
with a teddy bear, their own special bathrobe and towelling
slippers,” adds Karen. “It’s not unusual to find a child-focused
restaurant, or the chance for youngsters to tuck into a healthy
afternoon snack hour.”

There’s a real focus on environmental awareness with fun recycling
projects and seed planting with the hotel garden team, and the
chance to solve complex detective and archaeology mysteries in the
different corners of Everland Kids World.
There’s an incredible Lego ® Room to capture imagination, and the
latest games consoles in the Technology Room (with time limited to
30 minutes for each child).
Your children can visit the Professions Academy where they don’t
have to wait to grow up to experience what a career as a doctor,
astronaut, fireman, vet, or secret agent might be like!
There are special activities throughout the year too, including kite
and olive-picking festivals.
Children aged four to seven years begin
the day with morning yoga and meditation,
before trying their hand at artistic handicrafts
and activities like sandcastle building contests
on the beach, pool Olympics, and sporting
tournaments with proper medals.
Tweens can embrace mini golf, experimental workshops
such as rocket and kite-making, batik t-shirt painting,
smoothie making, culinary classes led by hotel chefs, as
well as in-house camping, and games on the digital small
wall in the Interactive Digital Room. Meanwhile, teens get to
socialise with youngsters their own age in the Teen Club.
