Beginning as The Lake County Association for Crippled Children<br />
in the 1940s to provide Speech and Occupational Therapy –<br />
TradeWinds later added Childcare, Summer/Functional Skills,<br />
and Winter Camps for children of differing abilities.<br />
In the 1960s, TradeWinds began providing services for adults<br />
with physical & developmental disabilities, now including:<br />
• Adult Day Activity Program & Training (ADAPT)<br />
• Transitional Vocational Training (TVT)<br />
• Pre-Vocational Training/Industries<br />
o Packaging, Assembly & Order Fulfillment<br />
o Sewing Manufacturing<br />

• Employment Services for Youth (16-24) & Adults<br />
• Residential Group Homes<br />
• Supported Living Homes/Apartments<br />
• Respite for Caregivers<br />
