Renée Goscinny [1926-1977]. Two years after the death
of Goscinny, Uderzo established the publishing house
Éditions Albert René in 1979. Since 2011 Hachette Livre
owns 100% of the publishing house.

Alice Walker [1944-] seriously won international recognition
for «The Colour Purple», about an African-American
girl’s story about growing up in interwar Georgia, seen
through her and her sister’s letters.
The book was made into a film in 1985, directed by Stephen
Spielberg, starring Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover,
Oprah Winfrey, Margaret Avery, Rae Dawn Chong, Willard
Pugh and Adolph Caesar.
