When asked about the challenges
encountered during the inception of her
business, Genevieve Allen highlights,
“Assembling the right team is a
challenge in any business. I worked
closely with people I knew to assist me to
identify potential staff and to source the
correct skills and fit.” In the early stages,
as the architect of a novel franchise
category, she faced the task of
introducing this groundbreaking
concept to potential franchisees, school
management teams, and parents
simultaneously. She emphasises the
interconnectedness of these three
groups, stating, “...these three sets of role
players are interlinked.” Overcoming
these obstacles demanded strategic
effort and an astute understanding of
the intricate dynamics involved.
When asked about the origin of her
business concept and what distinguishes
it from others in the industry, Genevieve
Allen shared, “Club Engage is the largest
aftercare and holiday care provider in the
country. We are based on school
properties, not in houses across the road
as is the standard with private aftercare
facilities or run in-house by tired and
over-stretched teachers.”
What makes Club Engage special is its
strong dedication to meeting
international standards. Genevieve
explains, “We are the only provider in the
country that guarantees international
benchmarks such as minimum staff
ratios, paediatric first aid training, police
clearances, and structured ongoing
training and support for aftercare staff.”
