Mona murals #1
I think they are wonderful.
Perhaps they could also go on
the northern side of Mona Vale
Road near the cemetery. Surely
no vandal would ruin such
attractive pieces of work?
Mona murals #2
It’s an absolute pleasure to see
these artists’ works displayed;
it gives the village a lovely feel.
I suggest there is a massive
‘canvas’ waiting to be painted
on the back of the buildings
by the stormwater drain
between Bassett and Darley
streets. These buildings are
a target for ugly graffiti and
tagging. A beautiful mural
would be a great addition.
Mona murals #3
The murals are fabulous! I was
disappointed to read some
people think it’s defacing the
brickwork.
When I walk past a (good)
mural, my heart lifts and I
smile. If I walk past a brick
building, I feel nothing.
Murals are also a great
attraction; I’ve been to
Dunedin in NZ where they’re
a highlight and you go for a
walk to admire the murals.
Keep them coming!
Mona Vale Road #1
I have asked Rory Amon to find
out how much “the stop” on
the Western stage of the Mona
Vale Road contract is costing
taxpayers. As yet, no reply. I
doubt anyone in the Premier’s
MURAL HERE PLEASE:
To deter graffiti.
office knows or cares.
I understand that new
homes developed in
Warriewood valley were to be
permitted only if Mona Vale
Road was widened to allow
residents to escape the area in
the case of a catastrophic fire.
Mona Vale Road #2
I’m sure Rory Amon is indeed
angry about the Mona Vale
Road upgrade cancellation
debacle foisted upon us by
the Minns Labor Government.
But sadly for him, as a
newly minted junior MP in
a traditionally super-safe
Liberal seat, he has absolutely
zero leverage to do anything
about it. So he is left with the
empty performative gesture of
a petition (which we all know
will be ignored).
Rory, if you want to fix
this issue there is only one
way to do it – leave the Libs
and become an Independent.
Minns’ government teeters
on the narrowest of margins;
history tells us that sooner
or later, scandal will see
Labor lose an MP or two, at
which point Minns will need
Independents to govern.
Avalon Shared
Space
It beggars belief that there are
objections to this initiative – it
makes the Avalon village and
busy intersection so much
more user-friendly and far
more safe. As a previous ‘four
ways’, it was a nightmare.
