Caram Voice in Norfolk
Volunteer With Children
Looking for a fun volunteering opportunity that fits
around your other commitments? Want to help some
of our most vulnerable children and inspire them
towards better, brighter things?
For some children in care, most adults in their
lives are social workers or other paid professionals.
Please consider becoming an Independent Visitor,
a volunteer who visits a child for a few hours each
month to build a valuable and consistent relationship
by spending time together doing fun activities.
Thorough training and support provided, as well as
reimbursement of reasonable expenses.

Swaffham Walking Group
Swaffham Walking Group is a small friendly group of
keen walkers who enjoy the countryside and cake.
Meeting every Wednesday at 9.30am and every
Sunday at 10.00am in various locations around
Swaffham and the surrounding villages to enjoy a
walk from around 3 to 6.5 miles. Afterwards enjoying
Tea, Coffee & Cakes/biscuits. For more information

Swaffham Library Friends
Swaffham Library Friends was established 10 years
ago in 2014 to assist the Library in Swaffham to raise
additional funds to buy little extras to equip the
building. Volunteers also assist at events put on by
the Library. There are a number of Friends Groups
dotted throughout the County.
During the year, the Friends put on their own events,
usually on a Friday evening and one of the best
attended are the Film Nights. These are free to the
public, but as there are refreshments available, a
donation is always gratefully accepted.
Our next event is on the 9th February at the Library
starting at 7.30pm. This is entitled 'Norfolk Holidays'.
A selection of short films courtesy of the East Anglian
Film Archive. Doors open at 7pm. As there is limited
space, booking is recommended. Look out for our
posters around the town!

Swaffham RUFC
Is it really the end of January 2024 already?
After a series of away games in the first half of the
season, we are pleased to advise that our Senior
Squad have six home league games in the remainder
of the 2023/24 season. On 3rd February we welcome
Lakenham Union for a 2.15pm Kick Off, and on the 17th
we welcome Beccles for a 3pm Kick Off. We look forward
to welcoming everyone in our community to see some
very competitive grass roots rugby at North Pickenham
Road and perhaps enjoy a drink in our clubhouse.
Our Touch Rugby sessions on Tuesdays at 7pm continue
to attract participants of all ages and genders. Our Mini’s
session on Sundays at 10:30am are growing steadily.
The Senior Squad train on Thursdays at 7.30pm.
New participants in all the above sections of our
Club will be warmly welcomed – just turn up and get
involved!
We hold 5 pre-match lunches in the season for our
Vice Presidents, Club Members and their invited guests
which are a very popular ‘warm up’ to some of our
home games!
We are a Family Friendly Community Club run entirely by
volunteers. Anyone who would like to get involved both
on or off the pitch, or would like to explore sponsorship
