Ο έλεγχος (audit) συμμόρφωσης και η πιστοποίηση (certification)<br />

των οργανισμών, φορέων και επιχειρήσεων μετά τη θέση σε<br />

εφαρμογή του Γενικού Κανονισμού για την Προστασία<br />

Δεδομένων (ΓΚΠΔ) θεωρείται πλέον ως μία από τις<br />

σημαντικότερες απαιτήσεις στον τομέα της προστασίας των<br />

δεδομένων προσωπικού χαρακτήρα το προσεχές διάστημα,<br />

ιδιαίτερα μετά την ολοκλήρωση της αρχικής συμμόρφωσης από<br />

πλευράς των Υπευθύνων Επεξεργασίας (αλλά και των<br />

Εκτελούντων την Επεξεργασία). Το σεμινάριο θα δώσει τη<br />

δυνατότητα στους συμμετέχοντες να αναπτύξουν την<br />

The future of corporate sustainability reporting is taking shape. At<br />

the end of November 2022, the European Union Council gave its<br />

final approval to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive<br />

(CSRD)1 and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group<br />

delivered the first set of draft European Sustainability Reporting<br />

Standards (ESRS) to the European Commission. With these<br />

measures, the EU aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable<br />

economy. Under the new CSRD regulation, companies will soon<br />

be required to publish detailed in<strong>for</strong>mation on sustainability<br />

matters. This will increase a company’s accountability <strong>for</strong> its<br />

impacts on the environment and society, and provide financial<br />

institutions with comparable, verified in<strong>for</strong>mation on sustainability<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance that should facilitate allocation of finance to<br />

sustainable activities. The measures should also equip companies<br />

<strong>for</strong> implementing their own sustainability agenda. They can only<br />

make progress if they know where they stand – relative to their<br />

ambitions as well as their peers – and where they can improve.<br />

CSRD and will ensure that <strong>you</strong> are aware of the latest<br />

OVERVIEW<br />

The Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR) came into <strong>for</strong>ce<br />

on June 30, 2023. This regulation requires crypto asset firms to<br />

obtain a license to provide their services in the European<br />

Economic Area (EEA). To ensure readiness <strong>for</strong> MiCAR and avoid<br />

any surprises, it is important to consider certain factors over the<br />

next 18 months.<br />

DORA stands <strong>for</strong> Digital Operational Resilience Act. It is with this<br />

regulation that the EU aims to strengthen the IT security of<br />

financial services and industries. This means European banks,<br />

insurance companies, investment firms and other similar financial<br />

organizations. What it comes down to, in terms of compliance, is<br />

to demonstrate resilience in operations in case of a severe IT<br />

disruption, such as a cyber-attack.<br />

This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview and update<br />

Legal and other professional firms offering services in the area of<br />

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a new EU<br />

Directive developed with the purpose of making sustainability<br />

disclosures by European companies or <strong>for</strong>eign companies with<br />

significant operations in the EU, more comprehensive, comparable<br />

and aligned with the rigor and accountability of financial reporting. It<br />

is part of the European Union (EU) Action Plan on Financing<br />

Sustainable Growth (2018) and EU Green Deal (2019). Companies and<br />

businesses will have to apply the new rules <strong>for</strong> the first time in the<br />

<strong>2024</strong> financial year, with reports being published in 2025. The CSRD<br />

also mandates that some companies must have their sustainability<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation audited and provides <strong>for</strong> the digitalization of this<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />
