About the Cover<br />

The bearded bull on the cover is taken from a closeup<br />

of the harp shown on the right. From the Royal<br />

Graves at Ur of the Chaldees, it is Sumerian and dates<br />

from about 2600 B.C. The harp belonged to Queen<br />

Shub-Ad and is made of gold with inlays of lapis lazuli<br />

and ivory.<br />
