POSTDOCTORAL BOOK PUBLICATION CONTEST
Since its founding, Mathias Corvinus Collegium has made it a priority to provide a platform for fruitful
debate and raise important public issues. We have done so by organizing conferences, round tables,
debates, and conferences on countless topics, and by editing and publishing books. The Postdoctoral
Publishing Program helps early-stage researchers integrate new research into society as effectively as possible
by sharing the knowledge-dissemination experience accumulated at MCC over the years and by
making available its educational infrastructure. In addition to providing financial support, the Program
also helps early-stage researchers build their network of contacts and develop their communication skills.
The creation of the Postdoctoral Publishing Program was motivated by the slow diffusion of important
research beyond their respective professional communities. Furthermore, the dissemination of
research that is of direct benefit to society, improving the accessibility of said research to the public,
and the inclusion of this knowledge in MCC’s education all strengthen the research portfolio of our
organization. The program ultimately contributes to building, strengthening, and maintaining bridges
between society and academia. It also helps participating young researchers to become involved in
education and science modernization, and to increase the social impact of their research.
