The main purpose of the San Diego Food Bank Gala is to gather people and do something for the end of hunger in San Diego by supporting their vision and also donate money to the organization so they will work efficiently for a great cause. inspiring youth. Every year, SciTech
offers an immersive dive into the
realm of science and technology
to more than 120 girls in grades
4–6 from up to eight schools
across San Diego County. Through
interactive workshops, mentorship
opportunities and hands-on
experiences, girls can explore
STEM fields with confidence and
determination.
Similarly, BE WiSE is much
more than a program for better
education; it is a supportive
community for young women
interested in STEM. In this
program, over 700 girls in grades
7–12 learn about and experience
what it means to be a female leader
in science and technology. As they
participate in workshops and visit
sites with the guidance of female
STEM role models, BE WiSE girls

can see themselves as the future leaders and innovators
they can be, and along the way, dismantle barriers and pave
the way for the next generation of STEM professionals.
