Casal Sta. Maria’s wines are the expression of the unique terroir that<br />
encompasses our vineyards, planted between the Atlantic Ocean and<br />
the Sintra mountains.<br />
Located in the historic region of Colares, on the slopes of the Serra de<br />
Sintra, the vineyards of Casal Sta. Maria are arranged in a wonderful<br />
landscape over the sea, at the westernmost point of continental<br />
Europe.<br />
They were planted in 2006 by Baron Bodo von Bruemmer, then 96<br />
years old, with the aim of producing high quality wines that express the<br />
unique terroir of this farm that was his passion, respecting the environment<br />
and dignifying the region.<br />
