Where to pay respects
this ANZAC Day

From Dawn Services to games of
two-up, residents across Parramatta
and Cumberland will remember those
who made the ultimate sacrifice for our
country this ANZAC Day.
Every year on April 25, Australians everywhere
come together for a day of national
remembrance to honour those who have
served and continue to serve.
Locally, a range of services will be held at
dawn – the time of the original landing in
Gallipoli – to commemorate ANZAC Day.
In Parramatta, a Dawn Service will be
hosted by the Parramatta RSL sub-Branch at
the War Memorial and Cenotaph in Prince
Alfred Square at 4.30am. There will not be a
march this year.
Club Parramatta will also be open from 9am,
serving up a range of ANZAC Day specials for
both lunch and dinner.
The Epping RSL sub-Branch ANZAC Dawn
service will kick off at 6am at the War Memorial
and Cenotaph in Forest Park, Epping.
All veterans who would like to parade are
encouraged to assemble at the stairs off
Blaxland Road in Epping at 5.45am, where the
march will then begin.
Over in Merrylands, the Dawn Service will
start at 5am for the 5.15am march at Charles
Locals will gather this Thursday for ANZAC Day commemorations.
Mance Reserve. The Granville service will
begin at 6am at Granville Memorial Drive,
followed by breakfast at the Granville Diggers
Club
The Auburn Dawn Service at Auburn
Memorial Park will also commence at
6am.
Following the dissolvement of the Lidcombe
RSL sub-Branch, the ANZAC Day Dawn
Service hosted at Remembrance Park,
Lidcombe, will no longer go ahead – including
the breakfast following the dawn service at
DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club.
Those who would have attended this
event are instead encouraged to join the
annual DOOLEYS Regent’s Park ANZAC Day
commemoration service at 1pm at Regent
Street Pavilion, in partnership with Heartbeat
Church.
For those looking to be involved in a day
service, Guildford Leagues Club will hold a
mid-morning service at 10:30am, followed by

locally this Thursday.

Club Merrylands Bowling is also inviting
both members and guests to pay their respects
to those who have served and continue to
serve at a 10.30am service.
Albion Hotel, Merrylands RSL Club, The
Epping Club and Silverwater Hotel are just
some of the local venues that will be hosting
games of two-up in the afternoon, along with
food specials.
