Northern Territory
There are no dedicated rural internship programs in the Northern Territory at
this time. However, the Northern Territory has a strong focus on generalism in
their training programs with the opportunity for interns to explore careers in
rural and remote settings. Internships are available at the Royal Darwin
Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital.
There are two intern health services/pathways that you can apply for. They
both have rural medicine incorporated in them, and depending on the
classification system you look at, Alice Springs +/- Darwin are considered rural
workforce.
