Adaptive Recreation & Inclusion
The adaptive recreation program is a cooperative
effort of the cities of Minnetonka, St. Louis Park,
Chanhassen, Chaska, and REACH for Resources.
REACH is an agency that serves individuals with
developmental disabilities and their families in the
west and northwest metro area. Services include
information, referral, advocacy and counseling. For

988-4177. Note: Persons not living in one of the
above communities are considered “Non-Resident”
and are charged the indicated non-resident fee to

Inclusion Support – All Ages
REACH for Resources provides inclusion
facilitators for children and adults with disabilities
who would like to participate in their city park
and recreation programs. Registration for these
programs is done through your Recreation
Department. After registering, contact REACH for
Resources to discuss the needs/accommodations
for yourself or your child. We request a minimum
of two weeks notice for a successful inclusion.
Youth Programs (Ages 5 – 12)
Family Yoga
Increase attention span, focus, muscle tone, and
flexibility. Yoga is beneficial in so many ways! This
class is designed for children with disabilities and
their parents to learn yoga together. Siblings are
welcome too! All children must be accompanied
by at least one adult.
Location: St. Louis Park Recreation Center, 3700 Monterey
Drive, St. Louis Park
Dates: Tuesday, January 22–February 26
Time: 7:15–8:15 p.m.
Fee: $50/Parent/Child, $58 for Non-resident ($20 for each
additional family member)
Teen Programs (Ages 13 – 21)
Take Five Respite
Do you need something to do during winter
break? Come join our respite program to meet new
friends, experience recreation activities, and get
out of the house.
Location: Elim Church–3978 West Broadway Ave.,
Robbinsdale
Dates: December 26–28 & January 2–4
Time: 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Fee: $210 per week
Teen Explorers
Get to know new friends while trying new
activities! Games, art projects, community events,
and more!
Location: Various metro locations
Dates: Tuesday, January 15–March 5
Time: 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Fee: $40, $48 Non-resident
Social Seekers
This is a program for teens and young adults with
Asperger’s Syndrome. We meet once a week for
fun and social interaction. Groups are available for
varying age groups (12–14, 15–18, and 19–30)
and at various locations. Intake is required for all
new participants. Call (952) 988-4176 for more
information.
Adult (Ages 18+)
Club West
Meet new friends while enjoying games, dances,
movies, and bingo.
Location: Various West metro locations
Dates: Wednesday, January 16–March 6
Time: 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Fee: $40, $48 Non-resident
Non-Competitive Basketball League
Have fun and improve your basketball skills.
Location: Sandburg Learning Center, Golden Valley
Dates: Thursday, January 10–March 14
Time: 6:30–8 p.m.

Yoga
Relax, get in shape, and improve flexibility!
Tuesday evenings, 6:30 -7:30 p.m.

Walking For Health
Keep your body moving! We will walk at various
indoor locations.

On The Town
Social program for adults who can explore their
community with minimal supervision.
Transportation may be available for an additional
$35 fee per quarter/per person.
Ages 18–30: Fridays beginning January 18
Ages 31+: Saturdays beginning January 19
Fee: $20, $28 Non-resident
Bowling
(Pals & Pins , Young Adults & Adults)
Join us for fun, noncompetitive bowling. You will
bowl 2 games each week.
Location: Park Tavern Bowling League, 3401

Dates: Saturday, January 19–March 9

We will spend the weekend at a hotel
in Bloomington, and all day Saturday
exploring the Mall of America!
