Garden Plots
Land has been set aside for residents of Hopkins and Minnetonka for the sole purpose of
gardening. The cities disc the land in the spring and stake the corners of each plot approximately
the middle of May. Register early as these sites fill quickly! For both cities, plots go on sale March
5 for residents. Non-residents may purchase any remaining plots starting March 12. Registration
is in-person on a first-come, first-serve basis. Proof of residency is required of new registrants.

Note: Minnetonka gardeners who puchased a plot last year and already established proof of
residency, may register by phone and pay with Visa, Master Card or Discover. When calling, you
must know which plot you want (see map below) and be prepared with a second or third choice.
Attention Gardeners!
With the high demand for garden plots, gardeners agree to plant and properly maintain the
reserved plot (adequately watered, foliage properly maintained, reasonably free of weeds). Anyone
who does not keep a well-maintained garden will not be allowed to reserve a plot for the 2014
season.
The city of Minnetonka garden site is located at Excelsior Boulevard and Clear Spring Road. Minnetonka plots are
leased in-person in the Recreation Department at Minnetonka City Hall or by calling (952) 939-8203.x 20’ plot
