Immigrant Justice Center. <strong>Indiana</strong> Supreme Court Justice Frank Sullivan also spoke at the event, which took place at the<br />
<strong>Indiana</strong> History Center on March 6. Proceeds from the event raised over $15,000 to be added to the law school’s Loan<br />
Repayment Assistance Program endowment, which helps provide financial assistance to law students with student loans<br />
who work in a public interest job after graduation.<br />

CLEO Scholarships At the Spring meeting <strong>of</strong> the ABA Business <strong>Law</strong> Section in Denver in April, first-year<br />
law student Mauricio Benavides received one <strong>of</strong> five Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) scholarships. Of<br />
being chosen as a CLEO fellow, Benavides said, “I am honored to represent IU <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Law</strong> – <strong>Indiana</strong>polis on a<br />
prestigious national platform and promote the wealth <strong>of</strong> talent and pr<strong>of</strong>essionalism our school <strong>of</strong>fers. I am also<br />
humbled to have been charged with the responsibility <strong>of</strong> diversifying the business law practice, thereby enhancing<br />
the ABA Business <strong>Law</strong> Section mission. The spring meeting <strong>of</strong>fered unparalleled practical and networking<br />
experiences that completely redefined my perspective <strong>of</strong> the legal pr<strong>of</strong>ession and future career opportunities.”<br />
