Weinmann Geräte für Medizin concentrates on its product lines<br />
Homecare, Emergency and Diagnostics. In these areas the Hamburgbased<br />
family business offers diagnostic, therapeutic and also life-saving<br />
devices and system solutions of the highest quality.<br />
Founded 1874 as a precision mechanics company in Ludwigshafen,<br />
Weinmann expanded its medical technology product palette massively<br />
when Karl and Vera Feldhahn assumed control of the company<br />
and Dr. Joachim Griefahn joined the business at the end of the 1960s.<br />
Innovations such as the ULM CASE for first aid treatment of emergency<br />
patients and the ventilator-carrying platform MEDUMAT made<br />
their mark in emergency medicine. Since 1977 the company has its<br />
headquarters in Hamburg-Stellingen.<br />
At the end of the 1980s Weinmann expanded its fields of business to<br />
include Homecare. The company was the first German manufacturer<br />
to produce a CPAP device for the treatment of sleep-related disorders.<br />
At the beginning of the 1990s the Feldhahn's son Dr. Karl-<br />
Andreas Feldhahn joined the company. He manages the company<br />
together with Marc-Oliver Griefahn, who succeeded his father in<br />
2004. Today the company has about 550 employees. With more than<br />
100 patent families and 90 trademarks, Weinmann is among the leading<br />
providers of medical devices for home care, diagnostics and<br />
emergency medicine in Germany. Weinmann does business in more<br />
than 50 countries and operates branch offices in France, Switzerland,<br />
China, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.<br />
