BetaCup® & C.F.P.® –
A Winning Combination
The combination of C.F.P.® Hip Prosthesis Stem and BetaCup®
Acetabular Hip Cup with ceramic inlay is being used more and more
of late. The combination brings together the advantages of the modern
classic for collum femoris-preserving hip arthroplasty and the
merits of the new BIOLOX®delta ceramic.
The wear-resistant ceramic-on-ceramic mobile bearing eliminates the
risk of a particle disease causing longterm complications.
BIOLOX®delta in particular, which is used in the BetaCup® cups, is
known for its extremely high fracture strength.
Extended Range Of Motion
BetaCup® Acetabular Hip Cups with BIOLOX®delta ceramic inlays
starting from 50 mm outside diameter are available for ceramic
heads up to 36 mm. This size allows for a significantly greater range
of motion in the hip of approx. 135 degrees compared to smaller
head and cup sizes. The rule of thumb goes: The larger the diameter
of the sliding pair the greater the range of motion of the hip prosthesis
and, with that, the postoperative mobility of the patient.
At the same time, the large diameter of the sliding pair increases the
stability of the joint and reduces the risk of dislocation. The high
wear-resistance of the BIOLOX®delta ceramic used in the BetaCup®
means the increase in the area of articulation can be disregarded
when choosing the head and cup size.
Rehabilitation Equipment
The MARATHON
The MARATHON is an institutional grade treadmill with proven
reliability, designed for cardiac rehabilitation, sports medicine and
diagnostic stress testing applications. Its muscular, heavy-duty 3HP
AC drive system guarantees a steady, smooth operation with a
250kg weight capacity. The MARATHON offers a speed range from
0.1 km/h (0.5 Mph) up to 20 km/h and an elevation range of 0-25%.
