The IS 500 OP supply system
combines lighting,
media supply and clean air
equipment in a perfectly
matched system. The possible
combination with a
laminar-flow supply air ceiling
for turbulence-free airflow
delivers an extremely
high air purity in the operating
theatre and periphery
and is ideally suited for
operations where the reduction of germs plays an important role. In
this case, air flow is stabilised by using clear panel infills above the
media bridge – and thus is not influenced by media supply system
situated on the sides of the bridge. The IS 500 OP makes every OT
into an extremely flexible room in terms of usage: Patented swivelling
corners ensure that fully loaded equipment carriers may move
easily so that the task area of the surgeon and anaesthetist is variable.

LED OR lights: pure Innovation
Small, bright, long-lasting and reliable – in short:
Power-LEDs. The innovative light source LED provides a considerably
smaller and flatter design of the luminaire body. As a result, future
requirements with regard to both functionality and design can be fulfilled.
Nonetheless, the small size does not mean any concessions in
terms of the capabilities of LEDs. Far from it. This attribute in particular
allows for a design-oriented and aerodynamic optimisation of the
luminaire body for good flow characteristics in favour of laminar air
flow. In addition to that, LED OR lights systems possess all standardsconforming
photometric characteristics of conventional OR lights.

The first LED Examination Light
Aside from the incontestable advantages
of LEDs for medical applications,
such as its cold light emission with
infrared-free lighting or exact colour
rendering, especially the small design
gives the LED great advantages over
conventional light sources. Thanks to
an especially compact construction,
TRILUX has designed an extremely flexible
examination luminaire which permits
great variability for daily use. The
positioning of the lamp head and thus
ergonomic adaptation to the requirements
of the patient under treatment
can be alternatively effected by means of an underside positioning
handle or with the grip ring that encloses the entire luminaire. This
provides optimum variability, also reflected in numerous details: a Vshaped
foot especially designed for this luminaire takes up the electric
cord and thus prevents a tripping hazard.

The portfolio includes a main light Aurinio L 160 providing 160,000
lux and a satellite Aurinio L 120 providing 120,000 lux in the surgical
area. Both lights are available with a camera integrated in the handle
for documentation purposes and - also as option - they can be operated
by remote control, wall-mounted or hand-held.
