All Faiths Food Bank
The lower school student council
recently had the good fortune to
visit All Faiths Food Bank. There
they toured the facility as well as
learned about how it serves the
hungry in our very own community.
it was an invaluable experience
and gave the students a unique
insight into how out-of-door
can help to reduce hunger. The
entire lower school participated
in its annual food drive, with the
hope of providing provisions and
warm meals to the needy in our
neighborhood. Thanks for caring!
Birthday Book Club
The out-of-door Academy Birthday Book
club has been celebrating the birthdays of
over thirty students who have participated
in the program this fall. The participating
students select their own book, pose for
a photo for the bulletin board, and help
affix the book plate with their name for
perpetuity. This program helps the library
grow as it gives the students a sense
of pride and ownership in their school
library. look for the explanatory letter and
application that will arrive home during
the appropriate birthday month.
